Patent number: 8528943Abstract: A male coupling for attaching to a female coupling in which rotation of the male coupling with respect to the female coupling is limited. In one embodiment, the male coupling has one or more tabs extending from a flange, the tabs limiting rotation when the male coupling is mated to a female coupling assembly for fluid conductors.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2011Date of Patent: September 10, 2013Assignee: Link Tech, LLCInventors: Randall J. Rehder, Dodge H. Juhan

Publication number: 20100276922Abstract: A female coupling assembly for fluid conductors, having a coupling body, a latch plate, and a latch pin. The coupling body has a fluid pathway and a slot transverse to the fluid pathway. The latch plate is disposable in the slot, may be biased toward a locked position, and has a first lever portion and a second planar portion. The latch plate may be translated in the slot to an unlocked position by pressing the lever portion toward the coupling body. Upward translation of the latch plate may be limited by the latch pin. The latch plate may define a first generally central aperture and a second aperture opening into the first aperture. The central aperture may include a pair of raised radial edges flanking an upper portion of the second aperture, each radial edge flanked by an outboard notch.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 30, 2009Publication date: November 4, 2010Inventors: Randall J. Rehder, Dodge H. Juhan

Patent number: 7354079Abstract: A tube connector including a tubular connector body having an inboard contact surface facing an outboard open end, a collet extending into the open end and towards the contact surface, and an o-ring positioned between the collet and the contact surface. The o-ring provides a fluid-tight seal between the connector body and an outer circumference of a tube inserted through the collet and into the connector body. The connector also includes a relatively rigid ring guide positioned between the o-ring and the collet. The ring guide is adapted to protect the o-ring and maintain the o-ring in a proper position for providing a fluid-tight seal and includes a sloped or radiused outboard surface for guiding an inserted tube and a sloped inboard surface for contacting the o-ring.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2004Date of Patent: April 8, 2008Assignee: Watts Sea Tech, Inc.Inventors: Randall J. Rehder, Gary Hutko, L. James Knowles

Patent number: 7111644Abstract: A manifold with interconnecting, non-threaded modular sections. The connected sections define a fluidic passageway and at least one valved outlet. The valved outlet is reversible to enable the valve to be readily accessible when the modular section is in any orientation. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims. 37 C.F.R. § 1.72(b).Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2005Date of Patent: September 26, 2006Assignee: Sea Tech, Inc.Inventors: Randall J. Rehder, Gary Hutko, L. James Knowles

Publication number: 20040032125Abstract: A connector with a connector body, a seal (such as an O-ring), a guide, a cap, and a collet. The guide may include in an outboard radiused surface and a substantially flat surface to contact the seal. The cap may be fixed in one and of the connector body. The collet may be reversibly and placed within the cap and include a surface to bias to tooth members against tubing, thereby to prevent the tubing from being withdrawn from the connector body. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 2, 2003Publication date: February 19, 2004Inventors: Randall J.
