  • Publication number: 20240143765
Abstract: A trusted container management system provides process supervision, such as for software or other executable processes. In an embodiment, a particular edge controller can include a Rich Execution Environment (REE) and a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE). In an example, an application executes in a container of the REE and generates communication data and a signature identifier. A DeftT publication is generated and includes the communication data. An untrusted validator in the REE evaluates the DeftT publication according to a trust rule associated with the communication data and publishes the DeftT publication. A secure validator executing in a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) further evaluates the DeftT publication. The further evaluation can include subscribing to the certificate identified by the signature identifier, determining the public key and the role of the certificate, and validating the DeftT publication based on the public key.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and computer-readable media related to secure wireless industrial mesh networking. An example wireless mesh network includes one or more wirelessly connected gateways communicatively coupled to a plurality of sensors and including a floating gateway and a backhaul gateway. Operations are performed in response to (1) receiving, at the backhaul gateway, a collection state query and (2) receiving, at the backhaul gateway and via at least one of a floating gateway and a sensor, sensor data. The operations can include generating, by the backhaul gateway, a collection publication instruction including sensor data; transmitting, by the backhaul gateway, the collection publication instruction to the requesting system; and synchronizing, by the backhaul gateway, the sensor data with the wirelessly connected floating gateway.

  • Publication number: 20240087322
Abstract: A method includes accessing training images that collectively depict multiple stages of a surgical procedure. The method also includes accessing labels that indicate, for each of the training images, characteristics of one or more surgical tools depicted and a stage of the multiple stages of the surgical procedure depicted. The method also includes training a computational model, using the training images and the labels, to associate runtime images with a stage of the multiple stages based on characteristics of one or more surgical tools that are depicted by the runtime images. Another method includes associating, using a computational model, runtime images with a stage of a surgical procedure based on characteristics of one or more surgical tools depicted by the runtime images and generating output that indicates the stage associated with each of the runtime images.

  • Publication number: 20160238388
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to photovoltaic installation systems and methods. A method may include determining a maximum number of photovoltaic (PV) modules for positioning on a roof of a structure, and determining one or more regions on the roof for positioning at least the maximum number of PV modules. Further, the method may include submitting a permitting package including the maximum number of PV modules and the one or more regions. In addition, the method may include determining a number of PV modules to be installed on the roof, where in the number of PV modules less than or equal to the maximum number of PV modules. The method may also include installing the number of PV modules within at least one of the one or more regions. The method may also include establishing the as-built characteristics of the PV system.

  • Publication number: 20140070837
Abstract: A solar monitor measures electrical characteristics of a designated solar device within an array of solar devices that are coupled in series. The solar monitor includes a charge storage element and a charger coupled to the charge storage element to establish a positive voltage and/or a negative voltage on the charge storage element. A switch within the solar monitor is coupled in a shunt configuration with the designated solar device and with a subsequent device in the array. The switch selectively couples the charge storage element to the designated solar device to vary an operating current that flows between the designated solar device and the subsequent solar device. The solar monitor includes a current detector to measure the current of the designated solar device, and a voltage detector to measure the voltage of the designated solar device.

  • Patent number: 7686272
Abstract: An adjustable display holder is disclosed. One embodiment provides a display arm and a display base, wherein the display arm is pivotably connected to the base, and the arm and base have a tongue and groove arrangement, wherein the arm may be elastically deformed to connect to the base, and the arm may retain a shape that arranges the tongue and groove in a way that resists relative pivoting between the arm and base.
