  • Publication number: 20210019779
Abstract: A user receiving device including at least one transceiver module, an output module, a control module, and a transaction module. The at least one transceiver module is configured to receive an ad or an offer transmitted from at least one backend device to the user receiving device. The offer is directed to a product and/or service referred to in the ad. The output module is configured to display the ad or the offer on a display. The display is connected to the user receiving device. The at least one transceiver module is configured to receive a response signal transmitted from a mobile device to the user receiving device. The response signal is in response to the offer. The transaction module is configured to perform a transaction between the at least one backend device and a user of the mobile device based on the response signal.

  • Patent number: 10623820
Abstract: A channel order mapping is stored in memory of a user device and includes a list of channels that can be displayed on the display and an order that the channels are to be displayed in an electronic program guide (EPG) on the display. A display control module, in response to a first user input to display the EPG, displays on the display the EPG. This EPG includes: the channels in the order indicated in the channel order mapping. An order updating module, in response to user input to change the order, changes the order stored the channel order mapping according to changes commanded by a user of the user device. In response to a second user input to display the EPG received after the updating, the display control module displays on the display the EPG including: the channels in the updated order indicated in the channel order mapping.

  • Publication number: 20170013289
Abstract: Embodiments described herein may provide for facilitating management of recorded digital video. An example method may involve a computing device (a) initiating playback of a recorded digital video file, (b) during playback of the recorded digital video file, receiving a request to stop playback, (c) responsive to receiving the request: (i) determining a stop point in the recorded digital video file and (ii) initiating a prompt asking whether or not to delete a portion of the recorded digital video file preceding the stop point, (d) responsive to the prompt, receiving a request to delete the portion preceding the stop point, and (e) responsively deleting the portion. In a further aspect, the computing device may also provide for display a visual representation of the stop point, an amount of the digital video file preceding the stop point, and an amount of the digital video file remaining after the stop point.

  • Patent number: 5991516
Abstract: In a digital printing system there is a natural hierarchical relationship to the data representing jobs, documents, pages, and page image data (separations). Instead of grouping data by the imposed hierarchical method, the page image data is organized into "bursts," a burst being defined as a series of page images which can be printed without requiring that the digital printer be reconfigured to enable or disable specific printer functions or features. The printer is supplied with a burst whenever a burst is available without regard for job or document boundaries. This method allows the printer to be supplied with image data at optimal speeds and minimizing first-page-out time.
