  • Publication number: 20220089293
Abstract: Described herein is an aircraft. The aircraft includes a peripheral assembly, such as a sensor probe. The aircraft further includes a release assembly connecting the peripheral assembly to a portion of the aircraft. The release assembly is configured to separate the peripheral assembly and the portion upon receipt of a threshold force. The release assembly may be configured to allow for the quick release, such as via a snap-fit connection, between the peripheral assembly and the portion of the aircraft.

  • Publication number: 20220011786
Abstract: An acoustic detection system of an aircraft receives a first signal, where the first signal is a multichannel audio signal. The multichannel audio signal is determined to be associated with at least one intruding aircraft based on the multichannel audio signal. An avoidance maneuver is commanded for the aircraft based on a track of the intruding aircraft generated based on the multichannel audio signal and a second signal providing additional information about the intruding aircraft.

  • Publication number: 20020152077
Abstract: A method and apparatus for translation of hand positions into symbols. A glove for wearing on an operator's hand includes bend sensors disposed along the operator's thumb and each finger. Additional bend sensors are located between selected fingers and along the wrist. A processor generates a hand position signal using bend sensor signals read from the bend sensors and transmits the hand position signal to an output device. The output device receives the hand position signal and generates a symbol representative of the hand position signal using the received hand position signal and a lookup table of hand position signals associated with a set of symbols. The output device then produces either a visual or audio output using the symbol.
