  • Publication number: 20230115354
Abstract: A wireline cutting tool. The wireline cutting tool comprises an elongated tubular body. A knife housing resides within the tubular body proximate an upper end, while a plunger resides within the tubular body proximate a lower end. An electric wireline passes through a bore of the knife housing and the plunger en route to an electrical connection sub. The electrical connection sub includes a pin that transmits signals from the electric wireline down to a downhole tool. The plunger is configured to slide up the bore of the lower sub in response to a first upward shear load applied by the wireline. This causes the plunger to act against knives residing within the knife housing. The knives are configured to travel up the bore of the upper sub in response to a second upward shear load applied by the plunger, pinching the wireline until severed. The second shear load is greater than the first shear load, creating a two-stage cutting tool.

  • Publication number: 20230101912
Abstract: An electrical connection assembly for a wireline cutting tool. The electrical connection assembly comprises an electrical connection sub having an upstream end and a downstream end. A pin connector resides within a bore of the electrical connection sub, with the pin connector having a conductive pin. The electrical connection assembly also includes a signal line connector. The signal line connector extends from an upstream end of the electrical connection sub and is in electrical communication with an electric wireline within a wellbore. The signal line connector places the electric wireline in electrical communication with a signal line further downhole. The signal line is associated with a downhole tool. A downstream end of the conductive pin is connected to the signal line. The electrical connection assembly also includes a spring that is wound around the pin and which biases the conductive pin out of a bore of the downstream end of the electrical connection sub.

  • Publication number: 20070043767
Abstract: A method and software interface enables selective processing of data transmissions containing one or more medication orders intended for a pharmacy. Data transmissions are monitored and parsed for prescribed information which is utilized to populate a prescribed data structure. The data structure and parsing rules can be associated with a specific source that can be determined from the data transmission. The parsed data is tested against an order database to determine suitability for automated handling. If suitable, the medication preparation system prepares the medications identified by the data. Those portions of the data that are not suited for automated handling are released (e.g., from the parser). Further verification can be performed by determining the source of the data transmission and verifying it as a valid source. Data transmissions can be monitored over a network, within a network component, or in cooperation with another software program.
