  • Patent number: 7435904
Abstract: An extrudable wiring harness clip has an elongate base for taping the wiring harness clip to a bundle of cables and an integral self expanding head for attaching the bundle of cables to a support panel or the like. The extrudable wiring harness clip has a constant cross section extending from a front face to a rear face that are preferably parallel to each other. The bottom surface of the elongate base is preferably flat or at least not curved in a direction that is parallel to the length of the elongate base. The extrudable wiring harness clip is made by slicing a portion from an extrusion strip.

  • Publication number: 20080142670
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention comprise devices, systems, and methods for mounting a component on a surface, including without limitation, mounting preassembled components to any surface of an assembled product. In some embodiments, the invention comprises a moveable locking retainer for mounting the component, comprised of a shaft; a head with a plurality of arms, each arm having an engagement finger and an engagement shoulder that form an engagement gap which engages the edge of a corresponding opening in the surface. The locking retainer also comprises a base with engagement prongs that prevent the locking retainer from being removed from a corresponding locking receptacle on the component, once attached. Other embodiments are also disclosed and claimed.

  • Patent number: 6739889
Abstract: The present invention provides an electrical distribution center assembly and a method of constructing the same. The electrical distribution center assembly includes an electrical distribution center member, an electrical connector, a support member which retains the electrical connector and includes at least one cam follower projection, at least one cam lever rotatably mounted to the electrical distribution center member, and a driver member for abutting the cam lever arm. An engagement movement of the driver member causes the cam lever to rotate and engage the cam follower projection thereby multiplying an engagement force to draw together the electrical distribution center member and the electrical connector against a resistance. The cam lever also leverages a disengagement force applied to the driver member to separate the electrical distribution center from the electrical connector.

  • Patent number: 6468091
Abstract: An electrical distribution center has a circuit board interposed between an upper housing and a lower housing. The upper housing has a panel provided with a universal cavity design by a multiplicity of terminal-receiving slots. The slots are arranged in laterally spaced parallel rows with the slots in each row in equally spaced apart relation to one another. Raised rails on the top side of the panel are parallel to the rows of slots and respectively occupy the spaces between the rows of slots. The circuit board has terminals extending into selected slots through the bottom side of the panel. The slots are adapted to receive the terminals of relays and fuses inserted through the top side of the panel for contact with the terminals of the circuit board. When the terminals of a relay are inserted in any of the slots, the relay body will be supported on rails on opposite sides of those slots.
