  • Patent number: 7373690
Abstract: A floor cleaning device having a base assembly and an operating handle selectively movable between an extended position and a collapsed position. The operating handle has a lower handle connected to the base assembly and an upper handle connected to the lower handle. The lower handle is pivotally connected to the base assembly and the upper handle is pivotally connected to the lower handle. The handle is moved to the collapsed position by folding the lower handle downward relative to the base assembly and folding the upper handle relative to the lower handle. The base occupies a floor space defined by an outer periphery of the base assembly, and the lower and upper handles are positioned above the base assembly and do not extend laterally and longitudinally a substantial distance from the outer periphery of the base assembly when the operating handle is moved to the collapsed position.

  • Publication number: 20070113528
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner dirt containment system with a bag chamber having an open end, an outlet adapted to be in fluid communication with a vacuum fan inlet located on the vacuum cleaner housing, and a plurality of locator ribs extending from an inner wall of the bag chamber. Each locator rib has a landing adjacent an inner wall of the bag chamber, and a pin located inward of the landing and extending from the landing towards the open end of the bag chamber. A filter bag assembly is adapted to be inserted into the bag chamber, and has a flange attached to an open end of a permeable filter bag. A flange air inlet passes through the flange into the bag. The flange has openings located to be inserted over the locator rib pins, and support segments located to abut the locator rib landings. The lid is selectively attachable to the open end of the bag chamber, and includes an air inlet mounting tube that extends into the flange air inlet when the lid is attached to the open end of the bag chamber.

  • Publication number: 20070094836
Abstract: A wet extraction floor cleaning device having a base assembly adapted for movement on a surface being cleaned, an operating handle pivotally attached to the base assembly, a supply tank having a supply tank outlet, and a recovery tank having a recovery tank inlet and a recovery tank outlet. The base assembly has an inlet nozzle that extends from an inlet slit proximal the surface being cleaned to a nozzle outlet. The device further includes a fluid deposition assembly that can be selectively placed in fluid communication with the supply tank outlet, a vacuum source, and first and second external pockets. The supply and recovery tanks are adapted to be selectively placed in the first and second external pockets, thereby placing the supply tank outlet in fluid communication with the fluid deposition system, the recovery tank inlet in fluid communication with the nozzle outlet, and the recovery tank outlet in fluid communication with the vacuum source inlet.

  • Publication number: 20060277713
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner accessory tool having a housing with a brushroll chamber and an air turbine/motor chamber. The tool has a first inlet into the brushroll chamber, a second inlet into the brushroll chamber, and a hollow attachment tube extending from the housing. The hollow attachment tube is in fluid communication with the brushroll chamber. A brushroll is mounted in the brushroll chamber and adapted to rotate about a brushroll axis. The brushroll has one or more agitators extending from it, which are adapted to extend through the first inlet and the second inlet as the brushroll rotates about the brushroll axis. An air turbine or electric motor is mounted in the turbine/motor chamber and adapted to drive the agitator.

  • Patent number: 5813741
Abstract: The present invention is directed toward a shelf support assembly having a pair of lateral support brackets removably mounted in a refrigerator, a support member interconnecting the lateral support brackets, and a central support bracket attached to the support member. A cross brace interconnects the central support bracket with one of the lateral support brackets. The central support bracket, cross brace, and lateral support brackets cooperate to define a support frame which slidingly supports a slidable shelf and pivotally supports a pivotable shelf. The sliding shelf includes stops to limit movement thereof. The pivotable shelf can be pivotally moved between a horizontal deployed position and first and second angled storage positions. The pivotable shelf includes detents which engage the support frame and releasably retain the pivotable shelf in one of the angled storage positions.
