    Abstract: A lift apparatus for a snowmobile and a kit for constructing same. The lift apparatus includes a rear bumper and first and second slides attachable to a tunnel of the snowmobile. The rear bumper includes a transverse bumper portion connected to first and second slide members. The first and second slide members are slidable along the first and second slides, respectively, to position the transverse bumper portion in a riding position or a deployed position. The transverse bumper portion is positioned farther from the snowmobile when the transverse bumper portion is in the deployed position than when it is in the riding position. The transverse bumper portion is configured to be gripped and lifted by a user when the transverse bumper portion is in the deployed position. The rear bumper is configured to lift a rear portion of the snowmobile when the transverse bumper portion is lifted.
