    Abstract: A method for emptying a liquid storage tank that has a floating roof which becomes stationery a finite distance above the tank bottom, wherein, after the roof becomes stationery, liquid is continued to be withdrawn from inside the tank while vapor is removed from within the tank in a contained manner and an inert gas is introduced into the tank for pressure maintenance purposes.
