  • Patent number: 9686910
Abstract: A trimmer head that can be attached to trimmer stems of varied length includes a stem attachment point, a lift, a base, a pull and twist mechanism, a plurality of blade posts, and a plurality of resting cavities. The trimmer stem is attached to the stem attachment point. The stem attachment point is positioned in between the lift and the base allowing the trimmer head to receive longer trimmer stems. Trimmer blades or trimmer lines are attached to the plurality of blade posts. The lift and the base are positioned adjacent to each other. Moreover, the plurality of blade posts are oriented towards the base. By using the pull and twist mechanism, the trimmer blades or the trimmer lines are positioned in between the lift and the base. The lift is offset from the base providing a maximum range of motion for the attached trimmer blades or trimmer lines.

  • Publication number: 20150289446
Abstract: A trimmer line holder for a trimmer head contains a structural body, a circular hole, a first trimmer line receiving hole, a second trimmer line receiving hole, and a hollow space. The circular hole traverses through the structural body from a top surface to a bottom surface. A trimmer blade attachment member of a trimmer head is positioned in the circular hole. The first trimmer line receiving hole and the second trimmer line receiving hole traverse into the hollow space through the structural body. A first end of a trimmer line traverses into the first trimmer line receiving hole Likewise, a second end of the trimmer line traverses into the second trimmer line receiving hole. When the trimmer line is inserted, the trimmer line lies perpendicular to the trimmer blade attachment member.

  • Patent number: 8769831
Abstract: A trimmer head for cutting vegetation is adaptable to operate in blade trimming mode and in monofilament trimming mode, and requires minimal time and effort to change between the two modes. The device comprises a bottom plate and a top plate. The top and bottom plate are urged together, thereby locking the blades in place. When the top and bottom plate are separated and rotated relative to one another, a blade may be inserted or removed from the blade posts by a gap formed between the top of the blade post and the top plate. The top plate includes a surface having a plurality of trimmer blade posts adaptable to pivotally mount at least one trimmer blade. The top plate further comprises a plurality of monofilament holes for receiving a monofilament line therethrough.
