  • Patent number: 12499195
Abstract: A system for authenticating a first user to a second user is described. The system includes a memory device having instructions stored thereon, a camera device associated with the second user, and a processor in communication with the memory device and the camera device wherein the processor is configured to execute the instructions. The instructions cause the processor to establish, based upon data received at the camera device from a first user device associated with the first user, a communication channel with the first user device and receive, via the communication channel, a mobile identification (mID) provided by the first user device. The instructions also cause the processor to determine whether to authenticate the first user based upon credential data extracted from the mID provided by the first user and initiate, based upon the determination, feedback to the second user indicating whether the first user was authenticated.
