  • Patent number: 11852255
Abstract: A combination pressure regulator includes a regulator body having an inlet port, an outlet port, and a combined inlet and outlet port. A first pressure regulator includes a first diaphragm, a first valve assembly, and a first biasing member that applies a first bias force to the first diaphragm to establish a first pressure regulator setting. A second pressure regulator includes a second diaphragm, a second valve assembly, and a second biasing member that applies a second bias force to the second diaphragm to establish a second pressure regulator setting. An input portion of the first pressure regulator is in fluid communication with the inlet port. An output portion of the second pressure regulator is in fluid communication with the outlet port. An output portion of the first pressure regulator and an input portion of the second pressure regulator are in fluid communication with the combined inlet and outlet port.

  • Publication number: 20230138128
Abstract: A brazing system includes a touch screen display and a controller circuit board having a processor and a memory. The controller circuit board is configured to be manually set by an operator to support a single torch configuration or a multiple torch configuration. The single torch configuration includes a first integrated software having first computer-executable instructions stored in the memory and configured to execute on the processor, and the multiple torch configuration includes a second integrated software having second computer-executable instructions stored in the memory and configured to execute on the processor. The multiple torch configuration supports the independent setting up of multiple brazing torches and the simultaneous use of the multiple brazing torches by multiple users during multiple independent brazing processes.

  • Publication number: 20190160573
Abstract: Embodiments of brazing systems are disclosed. In one embodiment, a brazing system includes a controller circuit board (controller) having a processor and a memory. The system also includes a fuel gas input, a fuel gas output, an oxygen/air gas input, and an oxygen/air gas output. The system further includes a touch screen display and a foot pedal, each operatively connected to the controller. The controller is configured to store multiple jobs of flame presets in the memory. Any job can be called up from the controller and the flame presets can be cycled through in response to tapping the foot pedal. Each job corresponds to a sequence of joint brazings to be performed on a braze assembly and includes a plurality of selectable flame presets. Each flame preset defines a flame setting based on a flow rate of a fuel gas and a flow rate of an oxygen/air gas.

  • Patent number: 5772954
Abstract: The valve body of a gas torch is provided with a combined preheat oxygen and cutting oxygen valve unit in which the respective valves are coaxially interengaged and mounted in a single bore provided therefor in the valve body. The preheat oxygen valve is rotatable relative to the bore to control the flow of preheat oxygen to the torch tip, and the cutting oxygen valve is axially displaceable relative to the preheat oxygen valve to control the flow of cutting oxygen to the torch tip. The preheat oxygen valve includes an operating knob by which the valve is rotated and which knob is disposed beneath a pivotal operating lever by which the cutting oxygen valve is operated.

  • Patent number: 5769119
Abstract: A combination control valve and check valve for a gas torch is disclosed wherein a check valve is positioned within an annular control valve member downstream of a spherical control valve element with which the annular control valve member cooperates to open and close the control valve and thus the flow of gas from a source to a gas torch. The check valve protects the control valve under reverse gas flow conditions.

  • Patent number: 5688469
Abstract: A fuel gas and preheat oxygen mixer for a gas torch comprises a bore in the torch head receiving a gas mixing insert having an axially thin peripheral gas mixing recess which receives preheat oxygen and fuel gas from corresponding manifold areas across radially thin metering passages. The gases are mixed in the mixing recess and delivered to the torch tip through delivery passages which, together with the mixing recess and metering passages provide gas flow paths having abrupt directional changes, all of which cooperatively resist flashbacks during use of the torch.
