Abstract: A conditional payment unit executing on one or more processors at a financial institution may receive payment instructions that specify one or more conditions for the conditional payment unit to transact a payment from a first party to a second party. The conditional payment unit may further receive one or more indications of whether the one or more conditions have been satisfied by one or more of the second party or a third party. In response to determining that the one or more conditions have been satisfied, the conditional payment unit may transact the payment from the first party to the second party.

Abstract: A method for performing payment transactions via social media includes obtaining social user messages generated by a user on a social media system; identifying a payment command within the social user messages based on contextual cues within the social user messages; and initiating a funds payment transaction based on the payment command.
