  • Patent number: 11957890
Abstract: A warming unit (21) coupled or configured to be coupled to a heated portion (19) of a fluid circuit (6, 7, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15; 107) of a medical device (1, 100). The warming unit (21) comprises a leakage current reduction circuit (35) configured to perform the following procedure: connecting a heat transfer element (22) of the warming unit (21) to a ground connection (33) through a resistance element (34), which keeps a normal condition patient leakage current below a first limit value, and disconnecting the heat transfer element (22) from the ground connection (33) if a current indicating that a patient is connected to a mains voltage is sensed through the resistance element (34), in order to keep a fault condition patient leakage current below a second limit value.

  • Publication number: 20230220700
Abstract: A sub-surface pole and pole foundation remover having a portable frame, a cylinder mounted on the frame and configured to receive pressurized fluid, a lifting piston slidably mounted in the cylinder, a grapnel connected to the lifting piston and having a plurality of lower arms that extend from a bottom circular support and that are configured to grip a sub-surface pole located below ground, and a control lever configured to direct the pressurized fluid to the cylinder that is actuated to cause the lifting piston to extend and push the grapnel upward relative to the portable frame to remove the pole from the ground. The grapnel may have a top circular support and a middle circular support connected to the top circular support by a plurality of flexible cables. A cinching cable may be used to grip the pole, the grapnel may have gripping teeth and fluid may be hydraulic.

  • Patent number: 11287285
Abstract: A system may include a device including a sensor configured to measure a parameter of a resource distributed along a distribution line of the resource distribution system and one or more validation devices. Each validation device includes a sensor configured to measure the parameter of the resource distributed along the distribution line or a related parameter. When the device detects that the parameter is out-of-range condition, it sends a query to the validation devices requesting information on the parameter or the related parameter. When the information regarding the parameter or related parameter also indicates an out-of-range condition, then the system validates the out-of-range condition. After validating the condition, the system may control a resource regulation device to adjust the parameter.

  • Patent number: 10910926
Abstract: A method for repairing a stator core of a generator is presented. The stator core includes laminations grouped into packs. A ventilation spacer is disposed between adjacent packs. Laminations are separated from each other by insulation layers. The ventilation spacer is removed between adjacent packs having a damaged insulation layer between the laminations to locally loosen the laminations in the adjacent packs which allows the damaged insulation layer between the laminations to be repaired. A new ventilation spacer is reinstalled between the adjacent packs where the ventilation spacer being removed to retighten the laminations in the adjacent packs after completion of the repair. The new ventilation spacer is adhesively secured between the adjacent packs.

  • Patent number: 10868456
Abstract: A false tooth assembly for a generator stator core is presented. The false tooth assembly has a tapered shape including multiple tapered false tooth pieces. The multiple tapered false tooth pieces are installed into a damaged area in a tooth of a lamination of the stator core such that a wide end of the false tooth assembly is disposed into a wide opening of the damaged area and a narrow end of the false tooth assembly is flushed with a narrow opening of the damaged area at a tip of the tooth. The tapered shape of the false tooth assembly enables the false tooth assembly to fill the entire damaged area and to lock the false tooth assembly into the damaged area. The false tooth assembly can be used to repair stator core in any region of the stator core including step iron region without being dislodged during generator operation.

  • Patent number: 10749395
Abstract: An assembly and a method for preventing an axial migration of a spring in a generator rotor are presented. The assembly includes a step pin radially disposed through an amortisseur and inserted into a spring of the generator rotor. The step pin is arranged axially apart from an adjacent radial vent passage and radially extends through the spring into a slot clearance between the spring and a creepage. The amortisseur includes a counter bore to retain a pin head and a pin shoulder. The spring includes a pin hole for a pin body extending therethrough. Diameters of the counter bore and the pin hole are smaller than diameters of amortisseur radial vent aperture and spring radial vent aperture. The step pin prevents an axial migration of the spring in rotor slots.

  • Publication number: 20190372437
Abstract: A method for restoring a separation between laminations of a stator core of a generator is presented. The laminations are separated from each other by an insulation layer disposed between the laminations. Wicking resin is applied to an area where the laminations are in contact with each other. Etching using an etching solution is applied to the area where the laminations are in contact with each other until a separation between the laminations is restored. The wicking resin seals the insulation layer to prevent the etching solution from penetrating into the insulation layer and causing a detrimental effect on the insulation layer.

  • Patent number: 9780572
Abstract: This invention describes a method and apparatus to cancel the mutual inductance between mutually coupled transmit coils, each of the transmit coils fed by individual power amplifiers, and the transmit coils all sharing a common ground with the power amplifiers. The methods and systems disclosed consist of coupling the return legs of each transmit coil to a mutual inductance cancellation circuit near a common ground return connection. The cancellation circuit uses a combination of inductors and capacitors to bridge various combinations of the transmit coils without physically connecting the “bridged” transmit coils. Transmit coils “bridged” using inductors have positive mutual inductance added to them, while transmit coils “bridged” using capacitors have negative mutual inductance added to them.

  • Patent number: 9627938
Abstract: A radial lead seal assembly of a generator and a method for sealing a radial chamber from an axial chamber of a generator using a radial lead seal assembly are presented. The radial lead seal assembly includes sealing elements disposed around a radial lead to seal an annular space between the radial lead and the radial chamber and thereby seal the axial chamber fluidically from the radial chamber. Conical springs are disposed annularly around the radial lead between the sealing elements and a junction between the radial lead and the axial lead. The radial lead seal assembly includes a nut for exerting a compressive load on the radial lead seal assembly in a radially inward direction such that the conical springs are only partially compressed.

  • Patent number: 9593775
Abstract: A retrofit method for modifying a radial lead seal assembly of a generator and a radial lead seal assembly of a generator are presented. The radial lead seal assembly seals a radial chamber from an axial chamber. The radial lead seal assembly includes sealing elements disposed around a radial lead to seal an annular space between the radial lead and the radial chamber, a coil spring disposed around the radial lead between the sealing elements and a junction between the radial lead and the axial lead, and a nut. The retrofit method includes removing one or more of the sealing elements to define a radial space between the remainder of the sealing elements and the coil spring. Conical springs are inserted in the radial space and only partially compressed under a radially inward compressive load exerted on the radial lead seal assembly via the nut.
