Patent number: 8101256Abstract: A label structure is disclosed for product packaging that includes a base panel having a front face and a rear face with an adhesive on the rear face. A first panel overlies a portion of the front face of the base panel, and has an inner page surface with an adhesive thereon. A laminating layer has a front face and a rear face with an adhesive on the rear face. The front face is adhered to the adhesive on the inner page surface of the first panel. A release layer is applied to a first region of the base panel that is overlaid by the first panel, with a second region of the base panel overlaid by the first panel being free of the release layer so that the portion of the laminating layer overlying the first region is releasable from adhesion to the base panel while a portion of the laminating layer overlying the second region is substantially permanently adhered to the base panel.Type: GrantFiled: February 21, 2008Date of Patent: January 24, 2012Inventor: Randy G. Patent number: 7077435Abstract: A label structure and method, with the label structure including a base panel for affixing to a surface and having a back face having an adhesive applied thereon. A first leaflet is positioned adjacent to a front face of the base panel. The first leaflet comprises a first folded panel having a first fold extending substantially parallel to a first axis of the label structure. A second leaflet is positioned forward of the first leaflet such that the first leaflet is positioned substantially between the second leaflet and the base panel with the second leaflet being stacked on the first leaflet. The second leaflet comprises a second folded panel having a second fold extending substantially parallel to the first axis of the label structure. A laminating layer overlies the base panel, the first leaflet, and the second leaflet.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2001Date of Patent: July 18, 2006Inventor: Randy G. Cowan

Patent number: 6439614Abstract: A nested leaflet label structure having an enhanced information carrying capacity. The nested leaflet label structure includes a base panel having a front face. A first leaflet is adjacent to the front face and comprises a first folded panel having a first fold extending substantially parallel to the first axis of the label structure. The first fold divides the first folded panel into a pair of first leaves each having inner and outer page faces. A second leaflet comprises a second folded panel having a second fold extending substantially parallel to the first axis of the label structure. The second fold divides the second folded panel into a pair of second leaves each having inner and outer page faces. A laminating layer overlies the base panel and the first leaflet. The second leaflet is nested in the first leaflet. Patent number: 4991878Abstract: A label assembly includes a base label, informational material, and a clear over-laminate sheet. The informational material is completely encased between the clear over-laminate sheet and the base label by sealing the marginal edges of the sheet to the outer portions of the base label. The front sheet of the informational material and the front surface of the base label are provided with identical indicia. In use, the label is attached to the product such that the front sheet of the informational material is clearly visible through the clear over-laminate sheet to properly mark the product before its sale. After the product is sold, the end user may remove the clear over-laminate sheet to gain access to the information material provide therein. Once the over-laminate sheet and informational material have been removed, the indicia printed on the base label functions to properly mark the product.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 1990Date of Patent: February 12, 1991Assignee: CCL Product Identification, Inc.Inventors: Randy G.
