  • Patent number: 11276335
Abstract: A scrolling billboard having a frame, a first pair of mandrels mounted within the frame supporting an elongate banner having multiple sign images. One sign image is viewable within the frame opening. A pair of sign drive motors are connected to the first pair of mandrels. A second pair of mandrels move a curtain relative to the frame opening between a blocked position where view of the sign is obstructed and a viewing position in which view of the sign is unobstructed. The mandrels are tubular and internally supported by mandrel supports to prevent sagging. A controller cooperates with the sign and curtain drive motors to change the viewable image by: moving the curtain to the closed position, changing the sign image, and returning the curtain to the viewing position. An add/remove fixture is disclosed to insert or remove signs from the banner. A corresponding method is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8875579
Abstract: A method for detecting the integrity of a bond of a multi-piece work piece includes capturing a first image of the work piece, stressing the work piece, capturing a stressed image of the work piece, and comparing the first image of the work piece with the stressed image of the work piece to determine the integrity of the bond.

  • Patent number: 7181372
Abstract: A system for designing vehicle chassis carriers comprises a user interface that receives vehicle parameter data. The user interface may be implemented using a spreadsheet or other data entry application as are known in the art. A user enters the vehicle parameter data such as vehicle dimensions and geometry. A design program such as a CAD program receives the vehicle parameter data and generates a vehicle chassis carrier design according to the vehicle parameter data and design constraints. The design constraints include weights, structural strength, and clearance information with respect to the carrier, the vehicle chassis, and obstructions in the environment.
