  • Patent number: 8439554
Abstract: A whisk attachment for use with an automated mixer is disclosed. The whisk attachment includes a coupling member, at least two coil members, and a brace. The first coil member has first and second ends attached to the coupling member to define the first coil member having a substantially parabolic shape. The second coil member also has first and second ends attached to the coupling member to define the second coil member also having a substantially parabolic shape. The brace is attached to each of the first and second coil members to resist relative movement of the first coil member with respect to the second coil member.

  • Publication number: 20070014187
Abstract: An improved whisk and method therefor is disclosed. The whisk has an attachment end dimensioned to be coupled to an electric mixer and has coils coupled about and along at least a portion of the length of its tines. The coils scrape ingredients from the rim, inner walls, and bottom of a mixing bowl and move the ingredients in a substantially inward and substantially downward direction toward the middle of the whisk during whisking. And the substantially downward spiral shape of the coils cuts through the ingredients in a horizontal and diagonal pattern which moves the ingredients at a much faster rate.

  • Publication number: 20060268659
Abstract: An improved beater apparatus and method having a blade extending from an outer edge of a motor-driven beater. The beater/blade combination is sized so that, during the mixing process, the blade will scrape batter from the interior walls of a mixing bowl in which the beater is operating. The scraping allows the batter to be driven toward the interior of the beater, for better mixing.
