    Abstract: A buffing guide includes a mating surface, a first guide surface, a second guide surface and means for engaging an airfoil root. The buffing guide directs a buffing wheel into precise contact with a root edge at a point where selective contouring is desired, with sustained contact providing a smooth radiused surface while avoiding the detrimental effects of grinding or milling operations.
