    Abstract: Ultra-reconfigurable reflectarrays using vanadium dioxide (VO2) are provided, as well as methods of fabricating and using the same. The ultra-reconfigurable reflectarrays operate based on the unique phase-change properties of VO2, by including a heating element configured to heat desired areas of a VO2 layer/reflector, such that the VO2 reflector/layer can be reconfigured to have a desired pattern heated (and therefore changed to a conducting state) at a given time, with a good spatial resolution of the desired pattern.
