Publication number: 20190360620Abstract: A bell and spigot connection and composite gasket seat spigot ring provides seal mainline pipes (e.g. HDPE and SRPE pipes). An upper (HDPE) spigot sleeve defines an annular groove to provide a gasket seat and is welded to a lower (HDPE) sleeve. A metal ring is received in a ring cavity defined between the sleeves. The metal ring has a height that is a substantial proportion of its width, (e.g. 50% or more). A stepped spigot surface receives a liner surface at a pipe end for welding. A bell is formed on a first pipe segment from a second pipe segment having a same construction where the second segment is larger in diameter so that an exterior surface (e.g. a top of a helically wound rib or top of annularly spaced spacer blocks) of the first segment may be welded to an interior surface (pipe liner) of the second segment.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 29, 2018Publication date: November 28, 2019Inventors: Randy McDonald, Nedal Mohamed, Phil Green, Rob Julien, Bill Bengough

Patent number: 9219821Abstract: Methods, systems, and products are disclosed that provide disposable numbers for a conference service. A disposable number is assigned to a conference bridge that is only activated for a defined period of time, after which the disposable number is disposed and deactivated. A call is received to the disposable number, and the call is routed to the conference bridge. A database is queried that associates the disposable number to a subscriber's number. Subscriber information is retrieved that describes when a conference bridge subscription is active. If the conference bridge subscription is active, then a caller is connected to the conference bridge. If the conference bridge subscription is inactive, then the caller is prompted to pay for a conference service.Type: GrantFiled: May 30, 2014Date of Patent: December 22, 2015Assignee: AT&T INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY I, L.P.Inventors: Randy McDonald, Odie Garrison, James Carlton Bedingfield, Sr., Terry R. Patent number: 8087437Abstract: A router includes a base, a motor housing supported by the base for movement along a first axis, and an adjustment mechanism having a shaft, with a thread portion, connected to the motor housing for rotation about a second axis. The adjustment mechanism also includes a unitarily formed lock mechanism supported by the base. The lock mechanism includes a thread-engaging member that, when engaged with the thread portion, causes small changes to the position of the housing relative to the base in response to rotation of the shaft. The lock mechanism is movable between an engaged position, in which the thread-engaging member engages the thread portion, and a disengaged position, in which the thread-engaging member disengages the thread portion and the housing is freely movable relative to the base to provide course adjustment of the position of the housing relative to the base.Type: GrantFiled: September 8, 2009Date of Patent: January 3, 2012Assignees: Techtronic Power Tools Technology Limited, Milwaukee Electric Tool CorporationInventors: Jay A. Patent number: 7810515Abstract: A smart water timer which includes a water timer, a receiving unit connected to the water timer, and a moisture sensing unit which is in wireless communication with the receiving unit. The smart water timer can sense when the moisture level in the soil is too moist (based on a user setting) and turn off a water supply to a sprinkler as a result A soil moisture sensing unit is placed in the soil in the area to be watered. The soil moisture sensing unit uses a moisture sensing probe and wirelessly transmits a data signal to the receiver, which is connected to the water timer, indicating whether or not the water timer should be permitted to open a water valve.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2008Date of Patent: October 12, 2010Assignee: Melnor, Inc.Inventors: Juergen Nies, Ha Van Duong, Vicky Ann Michael, Stephen Brass, Randy McDonald, David Drury

Patent number: 7677280Abstract: A power tool, such as, for example a router. In some aspects, a router includes a base, a motor housing supported by the base, a motor supported by the motor housing, and a hand grip forming at least a portion of one of the base and the housing and being contoured to fit a hand of an operator. The one of the base and the housing may be grasped by the operator when the operator grasps the hand grip to control movement of the router on the work piece surface. In other aspects, a router includes a base, a motor housing supported by and movable relative to the base, and a motor supported by the motor housing. The base is contoured to fit a hand of an operator and includes at least one of a slot or a ridge to provide improved gripping for an operator.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 2006Date of Patent: March 16, 2010Assignee: Milwaukee Electric Tool CorporationInventors: Randy McDonald, Dale Borchardt, Troy Thorson, Jeffrey C. Patent number: 7669620Abstract: A router includes a base for supporting the router on a work piece surface, a motor housing coupled to the base for movement along a first axis relative to the base, a motor supported by the housing and operable to drive a tool element, and a cantilevered shaft rotatable about a second axis and oriented substantially parallel with the first axis and offset from the first axis. The shaft includes a first end supported by the motor housing, a second end, and a threaded portion between the first and second ends. The threaded portion is engaged with the base. Rotation of the shaft about the second axis causes movement of the housing relative to the base along the first axis.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 2009Date of Patent: March 2, 2010Assignee: Milwaukee Electric Tool CorporationInventors: Randy McDonald, Dale Borchardt, Troy Thorson, Jeffrey C. Patent number: 7469043Abstract: A system that enables a telephone service subscriber to maintain his or her privacy by providing callers with a disposable telephone number. The system comprises a database that associates the disposable telephone number with subscriber information. The system also comprises a routing device that is in communication with the database. The routing device is adapted to receive calls dialing the disposable telephone number. When a call is received by the routing device, the routing device consults the database to retrieve the subscriber information. When the subscriber information comprises a true telephone number of the subscriber, the routing device forwards the call to the true telephone number.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2000Date of Patent: December 23, 2008Assignee: AT&T Delaware Intellectual Property, Inc.Inventors: Randy McDonald, James C.
