Abstract: A fishing diver is provided by a diving plane with a first releasable tripping device having a latched condition clamping the diving plane to the line such that upon trolling, the diver dives downwardly at an angle to the trolling line, and having a released condition unclamping the diving plane from the line. The diver includes a second tripping device associated with and engageable with the releasable first tripping device. The second tripping device has a latched condition engageable with the fishing line, and a released condition responsive to the strike of the fish on the lure for causing the first tripping device to reach its released condition and provides free sliding passage of the line through a guide structure on the diving plane.

Abstract: A storage device is provided for separately holding non-split sinkers having eyelets at top ends thereof relative to a support surface. At least one retainer is provided for individually holding a single non-split sinker fixed relative thereto. The retainer has a sidewall structure forming an internal pocket for retaining the non-split sinker, and a vertical support wall joined to the retainer sidewall. A pair of cooperable mating devices is engaged with the support surface. One of the hubs is attached to the vertical support wall and both of the hubs are clamped together on the support surface.

Abstract: A fishing trolling device includes a trolling plane having a mounting surface and guide means on the trolling plane for guiding a fishing line along the trolling plane through the guide means. One end of the line extends to a baiting lure and the other end of the line is reelable for trolling. A releasable latch means includes a latch arm engageable with a pair of gripper jaws on the trolling plane and has a latched condition clamping the trolling plane to the line. The latch means also has a released condition responsive to the strike of a fish on the lure unclamping the trolling plane from the line and providing free sliding passage of the line through the guide means along the trolling plane. The line through the guide means extends substantially parallel to the trolling plane in the released condition of the latch means. The latch means includes an eyelet guiding the other end of the line therethrough and then forwardly to the guide means.

The diver includes a spring sleeve arrangement for protecting the trolling end of the line as it passes through an eyelet on the latch member.
