  • Publication number: 20180237265
Abstract: An illustrative example elevator rope tensioning assembly includes a tensioning sheave configured to guide movement of a compensation rope. A tensioning mass is coupled with the tensioning sheave to provide weight urging the sheave in a tensioning direction. A rail structure guides vertical movement of the tensioning mass. A frictional damper continuously resists vertical movement of the tensioning mass.

  • Publication number: 20160156855
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein to provide infrared imaging systems with improved electronics architectures. In one embodiment, an infrared imaging system is provided that includes an infrared imaging sensor for capturing infrared image data and a main electronics block for efficiently processing the captured infrared image data. The main electronics block may include a plurality of vector processors each configured to operate on multiple pixels of the infrared image data in parallel to efficiently exploit pixel-level parallelism. Each vector processor may be communicatively coupled to a local memory that provides high bandwidth, low latency access to a portion of the infrared image data for the vector processor to operate on. The main electronics block may also include a general-purpose processor configured to manage data flow to/from the local memories and other system functionalities. The main electronics block may be implemented as a system-on-a-chip.

  • Publication number: 20140179269
Abstract: Recording commercial, legal, and other interactions enable organizations and individuals to meet regulatory compliance, improve customer service, and eliminate fraud. The process of recording those interactions is progressively being performed by software products and delivered as an Internet or WAN hosted service by providers. Recording products are further becoming more functional, by adding additional capabilities onto the base process of recording, such as interaction analysis and reporting. The purpose of the invention is to enable providers to customize, fulfill, and invoice the services and capabilities of such a recording function offered to individuals and organizations of variable size and requirement.

  • Publication number: 20120109371
Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for automatically controlling hot glue level in a book-binding apparatus. The embodiments include monitoring glue level in a reservoir and measuring glue temperature in the reservoir. If the glue level is below a level threshold value and the glue temperature value is above a temperature threshold, the system dispenses a predetermined amount of meltable glue pellets into the reservoir.

  • Patent number: 7971687
Abstract: An elevator load bearing assembly (20) includes a plurality of cords (22) within a jacket (24). The jacket has a plurality of grooves (32, 34, 36, 38 40) spaced along the length of the belt assembly. Each groove has a plurality of portions (50, 52, 54, 56) aligned at an oblique angle (A, B) relative to a longitudinal axis (48) of the belt (20). In one example, the grooves are separated such that there is no longitudinal overlap between adjacent grooves. In another example, transitions (60, 64) between the obliquely aligned portions are at different longitudinal positions on the belt. Another example includes a combination of the different longitudinal positions and the non-overlapping groove placement.

  • Publication number: 20100153207
Abstract: A telematics unit monitors location information and a vehicle information bus for diagnostic and other vehicle information and a request for services command initiated with hardware coupled to the telematics unit, remotely from another device, or automatically upon the occurrence of a vehicle trigger. The telematics unit composes a request message that includes vehicle location information and an indicator of a type of services requested, and transmits the message to a telematics server. The server performs a table lookup to find entries containing information of requested services available within a predetermined range of the vehicle. The server transmits a response message to the telematics unit, or other device, for presentation of the requested information. The response message may include a file containing promotional information relative to the service provider(s). The TCU may transmit a message that includes metrics relative to how a user played the promotional information file.

  • Patent number: 5839619
Abstract: The measuring dispenser consists of a base element having a container element inserted therein where both elements are of cylindrical construction and can be rotated relative to each other. The base element has a bottom end which has measuring chambers to hold granular material to be dispensed. The container element holds the supply of granular material which fills the measuring chambers through a fill opening. A dispensing channel in the container element is designed to be positioned over a measuring chamber such that when the measuring dispenser is inverted the measuring chamber contents are poured out through the dispensing channel and the dispensing top end.
