Abstract: A system (10) for simulating an operating environment, such as aircraft cockpit for use in training. The system (10) includes a video storage device (46) for storing and transmitting an image of the operating environment. The video storage device (46) is coupled to a video monitor (58) for displaying the stored image. A graphics generator (54) generates an overlay image simulating the appearance of displays and manipulable controls in the operating environment in a plurality of its manipulative states. The graphics overlays may be manipulated by means of a touch sensitive screen (64) to simulate the operation of the manipulable controls. The system also includes an interactive system (12) for authoring and editing the overlays as well as the simulation process.

Abstract: A security system adapted for use with a base computer 29 includes a security computer 31 for reading and writing data from memory in the base computer system 29, for transferring data to and from an encryption system 3, for transferring encrypted data to and from a storage system 14, and for interfacing with a trusted path interface device 22. The security system includes a system for regulating, and for interrupting or delaying, operation of the base computer in response to signals from means for associating, with each data group within the security system, data specifying an individual user.

Abstract: A security system 31 for use with a base computer system 29 includes an access monitoring unit 100 for continuously monitoring all operations in the memory address space, the input/output address space, or both, of the base computer 1 in parallel with base computer execution. The access monitoring system 100 can include access monitoring memory tables which specify, for a given user, his read access and write access to data stored in the security system, in the base computer system or both.

Abstract: A snap-fitting cover assembly for the terminal block (12) of an electrical transformer (10) comprises a backing plate (18) having apertures (20) for receiving terminals (14) of the transformer and adapted to be mounted against the terminal block (12). The width of the backing plate 18) is slightly greater than the width of the terminal block (12) so that opposite side portions (A) of the plate (18) extend beyond the block. A cover (28) adapted to fit over the backing plate (18) and block (12) has a pair of inwardly extending ears (26) that snap fit around the extending portions of the backing plate (18). With the backing plate (18) secured to the transformer terminals (14) by nuts (24), the cover (28) is retained to the terminal block (12) by a seal wire (34) extending through the cover (28) and behind the plate (18).
