Publication number: 20240101172Abstract: System and methods are disclosed to promote safe shoving movements of a train based on train position localization without human-based track operations monitoring. Train position detectors deployed at the end of a track, in parallel to the track, between the rails of the track, or a combination thereof, localize an end-of-train during shoving movements. Each train position detector transmits an early warning alert to an onboard alert device and a handheld alert device for indicating the end of the train is about to enter a pre-configured prohibited zone. The locomotive operator receives the alert on the onboard alert device while workers in the railyard receive the alert on the handheld alert devices. Both onboard and handheld alert devices are capable of generating audio, visual, haptic, or a combination of these warning alerts for the locomotive operator and the workers in the railyard.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 21, 2023Publication date: March 28, 2024Inventors: Muhammad Mohsin Naseer, Mukhtiar Ahmad, Haider Ali, Brent Fransen, Joseph Montgomery, Kevin Pilger, Randy Skarlupka, Kevin Smith, Richard Spitzer

Patent number: 11712029Abstract: A crawfish harvest system and method of harvesting crawfish from a crawfish pond, without entry into the pond by personnel or boats. A crawfish trap deployment and retrieval unit is positioned by a crawfish pond. One or more crawfish traps are attached to a main line, which is engaged with the deployment and retrieval unit and runs into the crawfish pond and around one or more turn points in the pond, forming an endless loop of main line. The crawfish traps can be deployed into and retrieved from the crawfish pond by the deployment and retrieval unit pulling the main line, without personnel, boat or other entry into the pond.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2021Date of Patent: August 1, 2023Assignee: CRAWLINE LLCInventors: Jason Badeaux, Bryant Faulk, Justin Bertrand, Randy Smith

Publication number: 20220364742Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a sunshade system that monitors a position of the sun and adjusts a position of a frame and/or blades based on a position of the sun. For example, a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit of an HVAC system may be exposed to adverse, external weather conditions, such as sunlight, which may heat up components of the HVAC unit and decrease an efficiency of the HVAC system. Accordingly, a control system of the sunshade system may monitor the position of the sun and adjust the position of the frame and/or the blades to provide adequate shading for the HVAC unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2021Publication date: November 17, 2022Inventors: Akash Manoji, Vikas Patil, Amey Deepak Kulkarni, Ashish Shoukat Naikwade, Joseph S. Patent number: 9994069Abstract: A method of manufacturing paint roller covers is disclosed in which the paint roller covers are manufactured from a seamless segment of tubular paint roller cover fabric that is placed onto a cylindrical forming tube having a segment of bonding material temporarily secured on its outer surface under the segment of tubular paint roller cover fabric. The cylindrical forming tube is placed on a heated mandrel to apply heat thereto to cause the bonding material to bond to the interior of the segment of tubular paint roller cover fabric. The cylindrical forming tube is removed from the mandrel and cooled, and the segment of tubular paint roller cover fabric becomes secured to the bonding material to produce a semi-rigid paint roller cover segment.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 2014Date of Patent: June 12, 2018Assignee: Seamless Technologies, LLCInventors: Daniel L. Publication number: 20170282983Abstract: A paving machine for spreading, leveling and finishing concrete having a main frame, center module, bolsters laterally movably, and a crawler track associated with respective aft and forward ends of the bolsters. A bolster swing leg for each crawler track supports an upright jacking column. A worm gear drive permits rotational movements of the crawler track and the jacking column. A hinge bracket is interposed between each swing leg and a surface of the bolsters to enable pivotal movements of the swing leg. A length-adjustable holder engages the pivot pin on the hinge bracket and pivotally engages the swing leg. The holder permits pivotal motions of the swing leg in its length-adjustable configuration and prevents substantially any motion of the swing leg in its fixed-length configuration. A feedback loop cooperates with transducers keeping the crawler tracks position. The paving machine can be reconfigured into a narrowed transport configuration.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 14, 2017Publication date: October 5, 2017Applicant: GUNTERT & ZIMMERMAN CONST. DIV., INC.Inventors: Ronald M. Guntert, Jr., Gerald L. Dahlinger, Richard Wood Francis, Randy Smith
