Patent number: 11411920Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems for creating a secure and dynamic public cloud-based cyber range by first creating a plurality of subscription-based virtual private networks on each of a plurality of public computing platforms. The public computing platforms may be accessible via a network, and may include at least one server. At least one virtual cyber range may be created relative to each of said private networks. Each cyber range may include a virtual network of one or more virtual computing components. The network traffic of said cyber ranges may be managed via at least one master controller to isolate said cyber range from a remainder of said public computing platforms not accessible via said network.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2020Date of Patent: August 9, 2022Assignee: Circadence CorporationInventors: Gary D. Patent number: 10858503Abstract: A peer to peer dynamic network acceleration method and apparatus provide enhanced communications directly between two or more enhanced devices, such as enhanced clients. The enhanced clients may comprise a front-end, a back-end, or both. In general, the front-end and back-end of the enhanced clients work in concert to translate data into an enhanced protocol for communication between the enhanced clients. The enhanced protocol may provide acceleration, security, error correction, and other benefits. Data from various applications may be seamlessly translated between a first protocol and the enhanced protocol, such that the applications need not be modified to use the enhanced protocol. System and method for reducing traffic and congestion on distributed interactive simulation networks
Patent number: 8024481Abstract: A system and method are provided for communicating Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) traffic over a network in an accelerated manner. In one embodiment, DIS traffic is accelerated through use of accelerated DIS packets having a reduced size. In this manner, network traffic is reduced. Accelerated DIS packets may be created and communicated through one or more DIS accelerators. A first DIS accelerator may accept a DIS packet and create an accelerated DIS packet therefrom by comparing the DIS packet to a cache and forming an accelerated DIS packet comprising the differences between the DIS packet and the cache. Data in the original DIS packet may be subsequently restored by a second DIS accelerator which combines the information in the accelerated DIS packet and the cache to restore the original DIS packet. Accelerated DIS packets may be communicated over an encoded communication channel in one or more embodiments.Type: GrantFiled: December 23, 2008Date of Patent: September 20, 2011Assignee: Circadence CorporationInventors: Randy Thornton, Mark Vange -

Publication number: 20100011116Abstract: A method and apparatus for dynamic network link acceleration provides a managed communication link for accelerated and reliable network communication between a client and other network devices on demand. In one or more embodiments, the system comprises an enhanced client capable of providing front-end services. The enhanced client may establish the communication link with a back-end mechanism. The communication link may provide error correction, security, quality of service, and other services including acceleration of communications. In one embodiment, the enhanced client provides a communication link utilizing the TMP protocol by cooperative action with a back-end mechanism. A client may be various computing or network devices and may be enhanced with front-end services automatically by automatic download and installation of an internal front-end or manually by user installation of an internal front-end.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 14, 2009Publication date: January 14, 2010Inventors: Randy Thornton, Marlin Popeye McFate, Robert John Shaughnessy
