Patent number: 12543809Abstract: In various examples, a belt (e.g., duty belt, service belt, etc.) may include a strap and a first member for detachably coupling a first buckle component to the strap proximate a first end of the strap. The belt may also include a second member for detachably coupling a second buckle component to the strap proximate a second end of the strap. In some instances, one or more connection points may be disposed in the strap proximate the second end, and the connection point(s) may be for adjusting a position of the second member to adjust a size of the belt. In some examples, the first member and the second member may be disposed on a same side of the duty belt and the first end of the strap may at least partially overlap the second end of the strap when worn by a user.Type: GrantFiled: February 22, 2024Date of Patent: February 10, 2026Assignee: Tedder Industries, LLCInventor: Randy Watts

Publication number: 20230371957Abstract: A tourniquet for applying pressure to a limb to stop the flow of blood is disclosed. The tourniquet includes a plate, a first band and a second band. The first band draws through the plate. The first band includes a tensioning member. The second band positions within the first band such that one end of the second band connects to the first band and the other end of the second band connects to the tensioning member. The first band receives the limb of the user while the plate remains on the limb. The tensioning member operates to draw the second band towards the tensioning member allowing the first band to put pressure on the limb and stop the flow of blood. In one embodiment, the plate connects to a holster. Further, the plate suspends from a waist strap wrapped around a waist of the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 1, 2023Publication date: November 23, 2023Applicant: Tedder Industries, LLCInventor: Randy Watts

Patent number: 11730488Abstract: A tourniquet assembly is provided comprising an external band and an internal band with a first and second semi-permanent adhesive members. The external band has a first connecting member affixed thereto and a second connecting member removably connected thereto. The internal band is designed to form a loop having a circumference around a limb for constricting blood flow in the limb when the external band forms a loop when the first connecting member is attached to the second connecting member. The tourniquet assembly further comprises a tensioning member connected to the internal band and configured to apply direct tension to the internal band without applying direct tension to the external band. Herein, the circumference formed by the internal band is reduced when the tensioning member is actuated, thereby compressing the limb when the tourniquet assembly is placed around the limb, and thereby reducing blood flow to the limb.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2022Date of Patent: August 22, 2023Inventor: Randy Watts

Publication number: 20100017050Abstract: An apparatus and method for determining and indicating a distance between a landing small airplane and a landing surface, wherein the distance is no more than approximately twenty-five feet. The apparatus emits signals from opposite sides of the airplane toward the landing surface, receives the signals reflected by the landing surface, and, based on the differences in time between emitting and receiving the signals, determines the distances from the opposite sides of the airplane to the landing surface. The apparatus is further operable to communicate the shorter distance to the pilot so that he can decide when to perform a flare maneuver.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 18, 2008Publication date: January 21, 2010Inventor: Randy WATTS
