  • Patent number: 11337897
Abstract: A bioactive borate glass adhesive system is described for its composition and use in adhering a plurality of dental restorative components onto a tooth surface. The adhesive system comprises silanated borate bioactive glass particles and a biocompatible resin blend. The bioactive adhesive system functions as a non-degradable, permanent adhesive in tooth restoration in the presence of saliva. In addition, the bioactive borate adhesive system may be used for re-mineralization, de-sensitization and self-healing of dentin and enamel by releasing and depositing calcium and phosphate ions onto the exposed and damaged tooth surface.

  • Publication number: 20200139305
Abstract: The invention relates to a filter for separating hydrophilic from hydrophobic fluids, wherein the filter comprises an oleophobic polymer, consists thereof or is coated therewith, and wherein the filter exhibits hydrophilic and oleophobic properties, wherein at least some of the repetitive units of the oleophobic polymer can be traced back to a fluorine-containing monomer which is an ionic organic molecule that has an ionic group, a cross-linkable group and a fluorine-containing group. The invention further relates to a method for producing such a filter and to a method for separating hydrophilic and hydrophobic fluids by using such a filter.

  • Publication number: 20100078572
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the analysis of molecules having a molecular weight of <1500 Da by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI-MS), wherein an analyte containing low molecular weight molecules is applied to a matrix material, which is characterized in that the matrix material comprises fullerene-derivatised silica. This process allows clear identification of small molecules through intensive signals without matrix -related background disturbances.

  • Patent number: 7675032
Abstract: Particles and monoliths are used for providing an ionized analyte for mass analysis by photon desorption having a size in the range of 0.5-100 ?m, wherein the particles or monoliths are modified with a chemical compound capable of absorbing photons having a wave-length of at least 300 nm. The particles and monoliths allow the use of MALDI-MS for the high throughput screening of molecules having a molecular weight lower than 700 ? without interfering signals or with only a limited number of background signals.
