  • Patent number: 12362825
Abstract: Light signal-based networking, such as LiFi (light fidelity), has become more prevalent. Such networking means provide a bidirectional wireless system that transmits data via LED or infrared light. Embodiments use light-signal-based networking to easily and securely add new information handling systems to an existing network. In one or more embodiments, matching both pre-set light carrier settings and trust data help make the addition of a node to the network quick and secure. In one or more embodiments, additional security and authentication mechanisms (e.g., tunneling, multi-factor authentication, passwords, token+passwords, secure protocols (e.g., Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), etc.) may also be used to further strengthen trust for the network, for the new client node, or both. Once trusted, information about the new client may be added to a datastore to allow other nodes in the network access to a listing of trusted nodes.

  • Patent number: 12277371
Abstract: Circuit design techniques can use a trained predictor to predict key dynamic current metrics (such as peak current, peak time, pulse width and total charge) for a gate in a circuit library, where the predictor has been trained over different combinations of different input transition slews and different output fanout models. A dynamic current model solver can be used for a gate in the cell library to derive waveforms (of current versus time) for the different combinations, and a predictor, such as a neural network, can be trained with the outputs from the solver for the different combinations. The trained predictor can be used in a runtime simulation to solve for the dynamic current demand model of the various gates in a circuit design (such as all of the gates in an integrated circuit).
