  • Patent number: 4874027
Abstract: An open office space dividing arrangement in which both simple and complex work station configurations are constructed from a small number of different free-standing units which share no walls with adjacent work stations. The units may be individually moved without dismantling, and without disturbing adjacent units or work stations to reconfigure a complex work station at the present location of the units, or the units may be moved as a whole to a different location and placed in the same or in a diferent work station configuration. Each unit is constructed according to the same concept in which a plurality of modules are vertically stacked to a desired height, with each module having two or three integrally joined sections which form diferent walls of the unit. The modules are foldable along one or two bend lines which separate and define the lateral sections, between shipping and functional configurations.

  • Patent number: 4601146
Abstract: A cover for enclosing the support post of a space dividing wall panel system is disclosed. The cover is planar and includes a pair of spaced, hook-shaped connectors on the inner surface thereof which coact with annular slots in the support post to mount the cover thereto. One or more of the covers may be mounted to a single post to thereby shield the post from view in most post and panel assembly configurations. The post cover may preferably include a cloth outer covering and a metal impregnated, magnetized vinyl strip on its inner surface.

  • Patent number: 4546889
Abstract: A universal stretcher rail system for use in connection with a space dividing wall panel system including wall panels of different lengths having vertically oriented, laterally spaced slotted standards at each end thereof. The system includes an inner rail member and a plurality of outer rail members of varying lengths each individually adapted to be selectively telescopically associated with the inner rail member to produce a stretcher rail of more than one predetermined length. L-shaped support brackets are fixed to the remote ends of the inner and outer rail members to interconnect the stretcher rail to a pair of laterally spaced slotted standards.

  • Patent number: 4541599
Abstract: A self-locking mounting clip system for mounting and locking cabinets or the like to laterally spaced, vertically aligned slotted standards. The system includes a mounting clip having a series of equidistantly spaced hooked-shaped connectors mounted to the rear edge of the cabinet sidewalls with the top and bottom hook-shaped connectors of each series bent at a slight angle with respect to the remainder of the hook-shaped connectors in each series. The mounting clips are installable and removable from the slotted standard only in an angular relationship with the slotted standard and are not removable when the cabinet sidewalls are in their assembled position.

  • Patent number: 4500060
Abstract: A mounting pedestal for supporting a computer terminal display device or the like is disclosed. The mounting pedestal provides for 360.degree. rotation of the support platform while permitting only limited front to rear tilting of the support platform. A base member includes an annular depression in the form of a segment of a sphere in its upper surface into which a complimentary spherical segment on the underside of the tilt platform rests to provide for 360.degree. rotation of the tilt platform with respect to the stationary base. Tilting in only a front to rear mode is controlled by a pair of laterally extending cylindrical segments on the underside of the tilt platform.

  • Patent number: 4406379
Abstract: A cable manager for concealing and controlling electrical and telephone cables in an office environment is disclosed. The cable manager includes a base housing member and a hinged top closure member. A plurality of leaf springs releasably retain the top closure in either the open or closed position and hidden access to the interior of the closed cable manager is provided along its entire length.
