Abstract: A disposable face shield having an improved attachment mechanism for securing a band to attach the shield to a user's face is disclosed. The disposable face shield includes a flexible transparent member having opposed slits therethrough. The slits have a length and are disposed on an upper portion of the transparent member. An elastic band having a width greater than the length of the slits is looped through the slits. The slits are arcuate which allows the ends of the band to be removably and adjustably disposed through the slits. A flexible forehead support member is provided on the upper portion of the transparent to nestle against a user's forehead.

Abstract: A ventilated browbar fame and eyewear utilizing the same. The browbar frame is detachably secured to a lens and temples are detachably secured to the browbar frame. The browbar frame includes a plurality of openings to allow air to pass through the browbar frame thereby preventing fogging of the lens. The temples are pivotally attached to the browbar frame to allow for adjustment of the pantoscopic angle of the eyewear.

Abstract: A transparent faceshield for protecting the face and eyes from impact and the like is detachably connected to an arcuate visor or crown using detents integrally molded to the crown and corresponding through-holes in the faceshield which receive and engage the detents. The use of integrally molded detents permits removable attachment of the faceshield to the crown without the necessity for secondary operations or discrete assembly hardware thus providing a system which is easily assembled and disassembled by the end user.

Abstract: A system for attaching a replaceable, customizable nosepiece to an eyeglass frame is disclosed where the eyeglass and nosepiece fit together through a snappable attachment. The eyewires of the eyeglass frame are provided with a notch and adjacent projection. The nosepiece is roughly horseshoe shape, sized and shaped to fit between the eyewires under the connecting bridge of the frame. The tips of the horseshoe are shaped to snap into the notches on the eyewires, and be retained by the adjacent projections. In this manner, the nosepiece may be specifically selected for or customized to the particular size and shape of the user's nose.
