  • Patent number: 11828890
Abstract: The present invention discloses a scintillator structure and to a method for producing an output optical signal at a specific wavelength range. The scintillator structure comprises a multilayer nanostructure formed by at least one pair of alternating first and second layered material being arranged along one or more principal axes. The multi-layer nanostructure defines predetermined geometrical parameters and the structure is made of at least two different material compositions. At least one of the first layered material, the second layered material, or the combination of both, define scintillation properties. The invention also discloses a detector system for detecting an input radiation comprising a scintillator structure being as defined above and being configured and operable to collect most of the emitted optical signal.

  • Publication number: 20230369004
Abstract: An energy converter unit and X-ray source system are presented. The energy converter unit comprises a multilayered crystal structure having a selected layers' arrangement comprising at least first and second of layers of at least first and second material compositions. The layers-arrangement is formed of a pattern of n1 layers of said first layer type and n2 layers of said second layer type generating a selected lattice periodicity of said layers. The lattice periodicity is selected such that said multilayered crystal structure responds to the charged particle beam of predetermined parameters by coherent emission of X-ray radiation having selected spectral content and emission direction.

  • Publication number: 20230214702
Abstract: A photonic quantum state generator is presented for generation of one or more predetermined photonic quantum states in a range from radiofrequency to X-ray. The generator comprises: a free particles source controllably operable to provide a flow of said free particles with predetermined one or more flow parameters; a shaping unit located in a vicinity of a flow of the free particles and adapted to apply wavefunction shaping to provide coherently shaped free particles in either one of time-energy domain or space-momentum domain; and an interaction unit comprising a photonic structure and defining an interaction region enabling in interactions (m?1) between a photonic mode within said interaction region and the flow of the coherently shaped free particles having said one or more flow parameters satisfying a phase-matching condition with respect to the photonic mode, thereby generating said one or more predetermined photonic quantum states by a conditional displacement mechanism.

  • Patent number: 9440578
Abstract: An assembly includes a motor vehicle headlamp and a mounting device to mount the headlamp on the vehicle. The headlamp includes a casing. The mounting device includes a pivot connection that pivots about a fixed rotation axis with respect to the technical front end of the vehicle, which carries the cooling unit for the propulsion unit of the vehicle. The rotation axis is contained in the longitudinal plane of the vehicle and is positioned such that an impact along a line of force located on one side of the rotation axis causes an edge of the headlamp raise above the adjacent edge of the fender on the other side of the rotation axis. The headlamp is shaped and the rotation axis is oriented such that the headlamp pivots about this rotation axis, remaining inscribed within a predetermined surface of revolution outside the contour of the adjacent fender.
