  • Publication number: 20190184446
Abstract: A thread rolling head comprises at least one roller holder configured to retain rollers that are configured to form a screw thread on a workpiece. The rollers are configured to rotate in the course of the screw thread formation. The thread rolling head further comprises an energy generating apparatus integrated into the thread rolling head that is configured to generate electrical energy when the thread rolling head is operating.

  • Patent number: 9968986
Abstract: A thread rolling head includes a bearing housing, in which at least two profile rollers, preferably at least three, are each rotatably mounted on an eccentric shaft. A shank is coupled to the housing, and adjacent profile rollers delimit an insertion section into which a workpiece can be longitudinally inserted. The bearing housing includes two housing parts rotatable relative to each other to change the spacing between the profile rollers. An adjustment element interacts with one of the two housing parts and can rotate about the longitudinal axis thereof. Rotation of the adjustment element in a first direction causes rotation of the two housing parts in a third rotational direction, while its rotation in the second direction causes rotation of the housing parts in a fourth rotational direction counter to the third rotational direction. A display apparatus displays a change of the spacing between the profile rollers.

  • Publication number: 20170239707
Abstract: The invention relates to a tangential thread rolling head comprising two fork-like rolling head arms each rotatably coupled with a thread roll by an axle. The thread rolls respectively engage with a pinion and can be pushed laterally into an assembled position into the rolling head arms before installation of axles, in which one of the axles can be pushed into a bearing bore hole of the thread rolls. The thread rolls and the pinions have interacting catches that are configured such that each of the thread rolls can only be pushed laterally into the assembled position in a single defined rotary position.

  • Publication number: 20170239708
Abstract: The invention relates to a tangential thread rolling head including two rolling head arms having a thread roll rotatably mounted on an axle. The thread rolls are configured to engage with a gear and be pushed laterally into an assembled position into the rolling head arms before the installation of the axles and the axles can be pushed into a bearing bore hole of the thread rolls. The two thread rolls have identical thread profiles that are offset with respect to each other when the thread rolls are in the assembled position.

  • Publication number: 20150165501
Abstract: A thread rolling head comprises a bearing unit, in which at least two profile rollers, preferably at least three profile rollers, are rotatably mounted, and a shank section coupled to the bearing unit. Adjacent profile rollers delimit an insertion section into which a workpiece to be machined can be inserted. The bearing unit is built from at least two modules each forming a functional unit, wherein the modules each have a fastener through which modules can be connected together and can be exchanged for other modules also each forming a functional unit. One of the modules has fasteners for connecting to corresponding fasteners of the shank section.
