Abstract: A device is provided for the use of smokers, safeguarding non smokers in the same room against inconvenience and harmful effects of smoke. The device includes a bladder or like vessel into which the smoke emitted from the mouth of the smoker is blown.

Abstract: A spinning top comprises a casing of pear shaped appearance. From the lower (pointed) end of the casing extends a stem which is springily urged out of the casing and which - when hit by a racket - moves inwardly, and closes the circuit of a small electrical motor (fed with current by dry batteries within the casing). The motor sets into rotative movement a propeller, the shaft of which extends out of the casing.

Abstract: In automobiles an arrangement for protecting the interior of the passenger compartment from becoming overheated by sun irradiation and for securing privacy of persons in the car comprises curtains adapted to be drawn over all windows of the car. The curtains are stored--when not in use--within a casing below the roof of the car and are guided in rails extending from that casing downwardly. The curtains are drawn by means of a mechanism driven by an electrical motor.

Abstract: A spinning top comprises a casing in which is located a gear including a vertical shaft extending downwardly from the casing, the uppermost portion of the said shaft being a Z-profiled bar, the sidewardly extending arms of which are frictional contact with the ends of oppositely disposed horizontal axles turning in seats provided in the inner wall of the casing. On each of the said horizontal axles a crown wheel is keyed, both crown wheels being in mesh with a pinion, the central axle of which passes through the uppermost part of the spinning top. The said central axle of the pinion is functionally connected with the latter by a ratchet mechanism so that the rotational movement of the pinion is transmitted to the said axle in one direction only. To the outer, free end of the axle is keyed a propeller.
