  • Publication number: 20220068472
Abstract: A system for standardized MRI examinations with patient-centric scan workflow adaptations including: a protocol management system for setup and/or to maintain scan programs and/or scan protocols centrally; a scan queue designed to provide a representation of past and planned scan workflow steps; and a scan workflow guidance system which is configured to use a preconfigured scan protocol and/or scan program by patient specific adaptions.

  • Patent number: 11156687
Abstract: For improving image quality in MRI, a method for magnetic of an object is provided that includes obtaining MRI data during at least a first and a second acquisition step. Each acquisition step includes at least two data acquisition periods. A movement of the object is monitored by a camera system during the acquisition steps. Data obtained during the acquisition periods is adjusted based on the monitoring. Data obtained during a first reference period of the first acquisition step is compared to data obtained during a second reference period of the second acquisition step. The obtained or adjusted data is corrected based on a result of the comparison.

  • Patent number: 9063205
Abstract: In a magnetic resonance method and apparatus wherein the magnetic resonance device has a movable patient bed, in a first overview measurement, a first image data record of a patient is acquired, and patient information and/or information of a treatment region of a patient is/are determined from the acquired first image data record. In a second overview measurement, dependent on the patient information and/or on the positioning information of the treatment region of the first image data record, a second image data record is acquired. In a planning step a layer planning for the image data acquisition is implemented from the acquired second image data record. Image data for a medical and/or diagnostic issue and/or examination are recorded. The first image data record of the first overview measurement is recorded with a lower spatial resolution than a spatial resolution of the second image data record of the second overview measurement.

  • Publication number: 20150022205
Abstract: A magnetic resonance imaging system includes a control unit configured to (a) compare a plurality of magnitudes of a field of a coil of a local coil, wherein each magnitude of the plurality of magnitudes is measured at a different time; and (b) determine, based on on a comparison result, whether to stop or advance a position adjustment apparatus of the patient couch of the magnetic resonance imaging system.

  • Publication number: 20140320128
Abstract: In a magnetic resonance method and apparatus to image data sets of an examination subject by operation of the magnetic resonance apparatus, after detecting a region of the examination subject that is relevant to the examination, a coil element from each of two coil units is selected depending on the detected region, and acquisition of the image data sets of the examination subject takes place with the use of the selected coil elements. The selection of the coil elements of the coil units can be based on information about a position of a slice of a volume of the examination subject, and the position of the slice can be determined automatically using reference measurements.
