  • Patent number: 9188196
Abstract: A drive train of a fluid flow power plant, in particular of a wind power plant or of a tidal power plant, includes a rotor hub that bears at least one rotor blade and a transmission that has a plurality of planetary stages. The transmission is configured to transmit a rotational movement of a rotor shaft connected to the rotor hub to a drive of a downstream generator in a stepped-up fashion. The rotor hub, the transmission, and the generator are arranged coaxially with respect to one another. The transmission is embodied as a power-split transmission with three planetary stages so as to form a suitable transmission ratio of a rotational movement of the rotor shaft on the drive of the generator in a compact fashion.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 18, 2012
Date of Patent: November 17, 2015
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
Inventors: Andreas Vath, Raphael Stumpp, Isabella Stamm

  • Patent number: 8156725
Abstract: A compressed air energy storage system and method of capturing CO2 during compressed air energy storage the system and method including a gas inlet pipe, at least one air compressor stage attached to the gas inlet pipe and adapted for compression of a gas, a heat transfer system to cool the gas during or after compression, the heat being recycled throughout the system, at least one absorption bed for separating CO2 from the compressed gas attached to the heat transfer system, at least one compressed gas reservoir having an inlet and an outlet, the reservoir attached at its inlet to the absorption bed, at least one preheater stage attached to the outlet of the compressed gas reservoir for heating a compressed gas after storage in the compressed gas reservoir, and at least one gas expander attached to the preheater stage and adapted for the expansion of the compressed gas.
