    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method of representing a sequence of pictures which are grouped into sets comprising at least two successive pictures, known as groups of pictures (GOP), whereby a textured, meshed three-dimensional model is associated with each of said GOPs. In an embodiment, the three-dimensional model associated with the n level GOP is represented with an irregular mesh taking account of at least one vertex of at least the irregular mesh representing the three-dimensional model that is associated with the n?1 level GOP, said vertex being known as the common vertex.
