In one embodiment, a system and method are introduced which enable the use of a segmented platform in an extended network. The segmented platform is introduced for processing using standardized plugins enabling the use of processing and services available at the segmented network. In another embodiment, processing on the segmented platform can include the integration of microservices for the completion of the transaction.

Abstract: A crescent member is disclosed which is configured to be in constant contact with outer and inner gear teeth to prevent unwanted fluid backflow between the gears. The crescent member may be part of a low-pressure fuel pump system for a diesel engine. In order to reduce heat buildup in the crescent member and gear teeth, the crescent member comprises a gap to allow fluid to flow within the crescent member to absorb and dissipate the heat generated by friction. The crescent member is resilient to maintain constant contact, but flexible enough to reduce wear from friction over time.

Abstract: A user interface display is generated with user input mechanisms to receive business process flow definition inputs from a user. The definition inputs can include identifying stages and steps within stages, for a plurality of different entities. When the user accesses the business process, a user interface display shows the stages that are involved in completing the business process, and guides the user through the steps that the user is to complete in performing the process. The process can involve multiple entities, and a single entity can involve multiple processes.
