  • Patent number: 10752842
Abstract: The present disclosure refers to a process and a process plant for extraction of metals from a hydrocarbon mixture obtained from a gasification or pyrolysis process, comprising the steps of combining said hydrocarbon mixture with an aqueous acid forming a mixture, mixing said mixture, separating said mixture in a contaminated aqueous phase and a purified hydrocarbon phase, with the associated benefit of said aqueous acid being able to release metals bound in such gasification and pyrolysis processes.

  • Publication number: 20190048270
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a process for reducing the amount of aromatics in a raw feed stream comprising hydrocarbons, more than 200 ppmw sulfur or 1000 ppmw sulfur as either hydrocarbon heteroatoms or as other sulfide compounds as well as at least 10% by weight di-aromatics or poly-aromatics and at least 30% by weight aromatics in total said process comprising the steps of hydrotreating said raw feed stream in the presence of hydrogen and a material catalytically active in hydrotreatment with a severity resulting in a conversion of sulfur hydro-carbon heteroatoms to hydrogen sulfide of at least 50% providing a pre-treated stream, separating said pre-treated stream at least into a second stage feed stream and a stream rich in hydrogen sulfide, directing said second stage feed stream to contact a material catalytically active in hydrocracking and ring opening, and to contact a material catalytically active in saturation of aromatics, wherein the material catalytically active in hydrocracking and ring o

  • Patent number: 8912375
Abstract: A process and hydrodeoxygenation catalyst for producing high-quality diesel and naphtha fuels from a feedstock that contains oxygen containing components derived from renewable organic material in which the hydrodeoxygenation catalyst is a supported Mo catalyst and in which the support has a bimodal porous structure. The hydrodeoxygenation catalyst has a Mo content of 0.1 to 20 wt %. The support is alumina, silica, titania or combinations thereof, and the support has a bimodal porous structure with pores with a diameter larger than 50 nm that constitute at least 2 vol % of the total pore volume.

  • Patent number: 8043600
Abstract: A process for the hydrotreating of fuels with co-production of hydrogen during operation of the process, which enables i.e. reduced need of make-up hydrogen in the hydrotreating stage. The hydrocarbon fuel introduced to the hydrotreatment stage is a fuel containing renewable organic material which generates carbon monoxide during operation of the process. The carbon monoxide is then converted to hydrogen in the recycle loop by a water gas shift stage.
