  • Patent number: 11369052
Abstract: A system for monitoring basket plugging for agricultural implements includes a basket assembly configured to be supported by an agricultural implement and a range sensor positioned relative to the basket assembly such that the range sensor is configured to transmit detection signals towards an interior of the basket assembly and receive return signals based on reflection of the detection signals off at least one surface. The system also includes a controller communicatively coupled to the range sensor. The controller is configured to analyze data received from the range sensor as the basket assembly rotates relative to the range sensor to determine when the basket assembly is experiencing a plugged condition.

  • Patent number: 11286648
Abstract: A method for estimating implement load weights includes controlling an operation of at least one component of the work vehicle to perform an automated boom movement operation during which a boom of a work vehicle is automatically moved across an angular range of boom positions from a starting position to a final position. The method also includes receiving load-related data associated with a load weight for an implement of the work vehicle as the boom is moved across the range of positions, and identifying at least one measurement region within the angular range of positions associated with a phase of the automated boom movement operation during which a boom velocity of the boom is maintained substantially constant. In addition, the method includes determining a region load weight the at least one measurement region based on the load-related data.

  • Publication number: 20210105942
Abstract: A system for monitoring basket plugging for agricultural implements includes a basket assembly configured to be supported by an agricultural implement and a plugging sensor positioned relative to the basket assembly such that the plugging sensor is configured to transmit detection signals across a field of detection towards an interior of the basket assembly and receive return signals based on reflection of the detection signals off at least one surface. The field of detection extends across a portion of a lateral width of the basket assembly such that the detection signals are transmitted towards multiple locations along the portion of the lateral width. The system also includes a controller communicatively coupled to the plugging sensor. The controller is configured to analyze data received from the plugging sensor as the basket assembly rotates relative to the plugging sensor to determine when the basket assembly is experiencing a plugged condition.

  • Patent number: 10801182
Abstract: In one aspect, the present subject matter is directed to a system and method for controlling the operation of a work vehicle based on the multi-mode identification of operator inputs. Specifically, the movement of an input device of the work vehicle may be monitored relative to two or more movement ranges defined within or across the range of positions defining the input device's overall travel range. When it is detected that the operator has made a pattern of input device movements relative to one of the movement ranges, a new operating mode may be selected or activated that adjusts the transfer function used to control the movement of a component of the work vehicle based on the position of the input device.

  • Patent number: 10060427
Abstract: A controller for a vehicle pneumatic system loads a compressor responsive to engine power absorption by the engine and air storage facility air pressure readings up to a pressure limit. The controller is responds to power demand on the engine in excess of an engine speed related global maximum and air pressure readings down to a global minimum for unloading the compressor. The controller provides for loading and unloading the compressor to maintain storage facility pressure within an operating maximum and an operating minimum which lie between the global maximum and global minimum pressures. The controller responds to air pressure readings reaching or falling below the global minimum for loading the compressor and to air pressure readings reaching or exceeding the global maximum for unloading the compressor.

  • Patent number: 9670851
Abstract: A control system for an internal combustion engine comprises pressure sensing means, memory means, processing means, and fuel injection control means. Pressure sensing means generate in-cylinder pressure data used to calculate total heat generated during combustion cycle. Memory means store predetermined crank angle data, such as CA50 crank angle data, for variety of engine operating conditions. A CA50 crank angle is a crank angle position where fifty percent of total heat is generated. Memory means additionally stores allowable start of injection crank angle data. Processing means determine an observed CA50 crank angle. Processing means conducts comparison of at least one of the predetermined CA50 crank angle data against the observed CA50 crank angle to generate a start of fuel injection crank angle which impacts the observed CA50 crank angle during subsequent combustion cycle. Fuel injection control means controls start of fuel injection crank angle generated by the processing means.

  • Patent number: 8753599
Abstract: A method and composition for the reduction of the emission of selenium into the environment from the burning of fossil fuels with the use of two chemistries, either individually or in combination with each other. The method uses polydithiocarbamic compounds, including polydithiocarbamic compounds derived from a polymer produced from acrylic-x and alkylamine in conjunction with a scrubber process to capture selenium and reduce its emission in aqueous phase blowdown. The method and composition also helps reduce corrosion in the scrubber process.
