Abstract: A cam-operated, rack-on-rack adjustment assembly on a drill pipe spinner allows the user to easily and in small increments (distances) (three-eighths inch, one-quarter inch or less, or more) adjust the effective pipe engaging length of the drive chain. In other words, the effective length of chain wrap (the amount that grips the pipe) given the pipe size can be adjusted.
