Abstract: An exemplary method includes an enhanced content access system identifying a media content instance as being of interest to a user, including, in response to the identifying of the media content instance as being of interest to the user, an interactive e-poster corresponding to the media content instance within a library of e-posters associated with the user, and providing enhanced content associated with the media content instance for experiencing by the user by way of the interactive e-poster. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: Methods and systems for dynamically adjusting a start or a stop of a recording based on an advertisement break are disclosed herein. An exemplary method includes a media content access subsystem detecting an instruction configured to trigger a start or a stop of a recording of a media content instance at a start time or a stop time based on a clock reference, detecting an advertisement break proximate in time to the start time or the stop time, and adjusting the start or the stop of the recording based on the advertisement break. Corresponding methods and systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: An exemplary method includes receiving a plurality of data chunks each representative of a distinct portion of a media content program, generating a personalized version of the media content program based on at least a subset of the data chunks and in accordance with one or more of a plurality of personalization factors associated with a user, and providing the personalized version of the media content program for presentation to the user. Abstract: Exemplary methods and systems for providing enhanced content by way of a virtual channel are disclosed herein. An exemplary method includes a service provider subsystem providing a virtual channel, associating the virtual channel with a content provider, receiving enhanced content to be provided by way of the virtual channel from the content provider, associating one or more selectable triggers with the virtual channel, and providing a user with access to the enhanced content in response to a selection by the user of one of the one or more selectable triggers. Abstract: A method is performed by one or more devices within a network to provide customized promotions. The method includes retrieving account profile information associated with a media client, where the account profile information includes information, obtained by the media client, about devices within customer premises associated with the media client. The method also includes retrieving a listing of candidate advertising components for a customized promotion and selecting, based on the account profile information, a particular advertising component from the listing of candidate advertising components. Instructions for presenting the selected advertising component are sent to the media client.

Abstract: A system and method for managed peer-to-peer (p2p) file sharing. The peer nodes can include a web browser and a p2p agent. The web browser can connect to the Internet and can interface with the p2p agent. The p2p agent provides the file sharing utilities for implementing the p2p network. A web server connected to the Internet can monitor and manage p2p activity, including providing persistent storage for the p2p networks. The web server can interface with a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) to provide access to the p2p network for PSTN peer nodes that do not have web browsing capabilities. A method of implementing managed p2p file sharing includes registering users; providing login and logout functions; creating p2p sessions; preparing, forwarding, receiving, accepting and/or rejecting invitations to join p2p sessions; quitting p2p sessions; deleting p2p sessions or selected members of p2p sessions; and sharing and transferring files.

Abstract: A system is described that includes a keyboard and a computing device running telecommunications management software in connection with a call control facility through wide area data network. The keyboard includes a plurality of dedicated telephone control input devices which correspond to an advanced telephony feature provided through the telecommunications management software. A device driver within the computing device allows operation of the dedicated telephone control input devices to be detected and associated functions of the telecommunications management software to be executed.

Abstract: A methods and systems are provided for presenting one or more topic specific portals. A portal may present various content relating to a common topic. The content may be episodes of a television show, movies, products, games, songs, images, and general information about the topic. The topic may be the television show, a movie studio, an actor, a company, or a particular genre or theme. A service provider may deliver the portal in an interactive programming guide sent to the set top boxes of its subscribers. The portal may be interactive such that subscribers may order or watch the content presented on the portal. A content provider may create or edit the portals and send the portals to the service provider. The delivery of the portal to the service provider by the content provider may be through an application programming interface.
