    Abstract: A hollow housing is provided including a top wall defining at least one upwardly opening new blade magazine receiving recess therein and a vertical slot therethrough. The housing top wall further includes a pivoted cam lever closely adjacent the slot and by which a surgical blade releasably mounted from a surgical blade support shank may be stationarily clamped relative to the top wall to enable one handed manipulation of the support shank in a manner to disengage the latter from the surgical blade.
