  • Patent number: 6732758
Abstract: A fluid shock absorber assembly having a shut-off valve, a water hammer arrester device and a water inlet. The assembly is comprised of a low profile adaptor structure constructed and arranged to permit the assembly to be mounted in a housing enclosure for aligning and joining water lines to form washing machine and icemaker connection structures. The housing enclosure which mounts to a building structure is designed to further allow the fluid shock absorber assembly components to be installed, maintained and replaced therein.

  • Patent number: 6557825
Abstract: A connector assembly for a plumbing appliance and for sealingly attaching an air admittance valve in a vent pipe. The connector assembly has an elastomeric sealing gasket with an interior threaded bore which is expanded by a rigid bottom portion of an air admittance valve. The bottom portion of the valve body has exterior threads and an expander portion which cooperates with the lower sealing ring of the sealing gasket to compress the elastomeric body of the sealing gasket against the interior of the vent pipe.

  • Patent number: 6148850
Abstract: A washing machine outlet box includes a bottom wall having a first drain port for a washing machine hose and a second drain port for a condensate line. Communicating with both drain ports is a common tailpiece integral with the bottom wall. The common tailpiece includes an outlet for connection to a drain pipe and wall sections defining a first passageway from the first drain port to the outlet and a second passageway from the second drain port to the outlet. This allows both drain ports to be connected to the drain pipe with only one solvent weld between the tailpiece and drain pipe.

  • Patent number: 5615703
Abstract: A water shut-off valve includes a valve body and inlet conduit molded out of a solvent weldable plastic such as CPVC. The inlet conduit has a threaded portion proximate the valve body to receive a nut used to secure the valve to a mounting bracket, and an integral extension at an outer end of the threaded portion having a smooth cylindrical surface which may be solvent welded to conventional plastic plumbing.

  • Patent number: 5390451
Abstract: A roof flashing for sealing an opening in a roof through which an upstanding pipe extends includes a base member having an opening for passage of the pipe and a collar attached to the base member surrounding the opening in the base member for receipt of the pipe when the base member is attached to the roof. The collar has corrugations which permit the collar to be expanded and compressed to different lengths to accommodate different length pipes within the collar. The corrugations at the outer end of the collar are flattened out to facilitate folding of the outer end over an upper end of the pipe to form a watertight seal between the collar and pipe.

  • Patent number: 5118011
Abstract: A food roller dispenser for dispensing the contents from a flexible pouch-like food container by passing the container between a pair of elongate rollers having teeth which mesh and overlap each other to drivingly grip the container between the meshed teeth and squeeze the contents from the container during counter-rotation of the rollers. Each of the rollers is of a solid one-piece plastic construction having roller bearing portions adjacent opposite ends which are removably captured in easily disassembled bearing blocks for ease of cleaning. One of the rollers is driven by a handcrank which, through a set of gears mounted on shaft extensions on the ends of the rollers, drives the other roller in the opposite direction.

  • Patent number: 4627551
Abstract: Dispenser system includes a pair of squeeze rollers for squeezing putty-like material from a bag-like container as the container is pulled between the rollers during turning of the rollers in opposite directions. Each of the squeeze rollers has a rubber-like cover whereby the rollers may be compressed together to ensure that the rollers will frictionally grip opposite sides of the bag passing therebetween to uniformly pull the bag between the rollers during turning of the rollers to squeeze the material out of the container. The container itself is preferably made from two flat sheets of plastic material which may be joined together by heat sealing. The two sheets are initially laid flat one on top of the other and heat sealed along the side edges and bottom which is formed into a funnel-shaped spout. The top is left open to permit filling of the container with the desired quantity of putty-like material.
