  • Patent number: 11470685
Abstract: A system and method for reducing wireless traffic among a plurality of IoT devices and an access point is disclosed. The method and system may establish communication among a plurality of Internet of Things (IOT) devices and establish a set of similar IoT devices from among the plurality of IoT devices. One of the similar IoT devices may be designated as a managing IoT device and the remaining IoT devices in set of similar IoT devices may be designated as controlled IoT devices. Wireless traffic from the access point may be transmitted through the managing IoT device to controlled IoT devices. Wireless traffic from the controlled IoT devices may be transmitted to the access point through the managing IoT device. Thus, wireless traffic between the access point and controlled IoT devices is reduced.

  • Patent number: 11461815
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system, method, and apparatus for managing orders and invoices among customers of a retail merchant. The system allows a first customer to establish trusted links with one or more associated fellow customers, thereby authorizing the fellow customers to add purchases to the first customer's invoice. This allows a primary customer to purchase items for a secondary customer under tightly controlled and well communicated conditions, without extra work from the merchant. The system also uses location aware services on customer's smartphones to provide data that enhances the customers' experiences, by triggering prompts to open and close and invoice. The system also uses location aware services to determine which other customers may be in a related party together.

  • Patent number: 11463522
Abstract: A system and method for efficiently transmitting signals from a sensing device to a remote device are disclosed. The sensing device includes at least one sensor for sensing information. The sensed information could be associated with heart activity. The sensing device smooths the sensed signal and then calculates the difference between the smoothed sensed signal and a locally stored baseline signal to determine a differential signal, which can be transmitted as a smaller packet of data than the full sensed signal. The remote device receives information associated with the differential signal and uses a local copy of the baseline signal to reconstruct the original smoothed sensed signal.

  • Patent number: 11455984
Abstract: A method and system of reducing noise associated with telephony-based activities occurring in shared workspaces is provided. An end-user may lower their own voice to a whisper or other less audible or intelligible utterances and submit such low-quality audio signals to an automated speech recognition system via a microphone. The words identified by the automated speech recognition system are provided to a speech synthesizer, and a synthesized audio signal is created artificially that carries the content of the original human-produced utterances. The synthesized audio signal is significantly more audible and intelligible than the original audio signal. The method allows customer support agents to speak at barely audible levels yet be heard clearly by their customers.

  • Patent number: 11417205
Abstract: Methods and systems for a graduated process of increasing bandwidth and increasing complexity to identify and confirm a location of a target vehicle based on information received from motor vehicles are described. In one embodiment, a method for detection of a target vehicle includes requesting, from one or more remote devices in a geographic area, information associated with a target vehicle. The method also includes receiving, from the one or more remote devices, information associated with the target vehicle. The method further includes determining whether the received information associated with the target vehicle matches the requested information. Upon determining that the received information matches the requested information, the method includes increasing at least one of a bandwidth or a complexity level of the requested information associated with the target vehicle and decreasing the geographic area associated with the request.

  • Patent number: 11392920
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a mobile computing device that is configured to secure a purchase transaction between a customer and merchant, and facilitate self-checkout between the user and any of several merchants. The system provides a payment processing network that achieves secure transactions free from fraud, while also having low fees. The system is based on establishing a relationship between a merchant's bank and a customer's bank, prior to a purchase transaction by the customer. The customer may then authorize their own bank to push funds to the merchant's bank in order to purchase goods or services using their smartphone, without the need to share any financial information between the user and merchant themselves. The smartphone is further configured to draw from multiple merchant product databases so that the customer may self-checkout, without the need to use a merchant-specific app, all within one app-linked system for payment and shopping.
