  • Patent number: 11026086
Abstract: Non-pre-provisioned cellular Internet of things (IoT) devices can be added to an existing user's subscription with an operator and a service provider. The procedure can include obtaining a security association between a device and a user's smartphone using the operator's network. The operator and the service provider can verify the device with a certificate authority. In one embodiment, the smartphone reads (302) a URL pointer to the device certification and sends it (304) to the MME. The MME forwards (306) the URL to the HSS. The HSS verifies (312) the certificate and derives security credentials including the Master key K?. The HSS also derives another key K? used to establish security context between the IoT device and the smartphone. The device uses its key deriving function KDF with K? and Rand to generate K?.

  • Publication number: 20210152622
Abstract: System and techniques for information centric network (ICN) implemented content data networks (CDNs) are described herein. A directive to initiate a cache operation for content may be received at a gateway of an ICN. An interest packet may be constructed based on the directive. The interest packet may be transmitted on the ICN and a response to the interest packet received. Here, the response has a payload that corresponds to the content. The payload then may be cached at a local repository of the gateway.

  • Patent number: 11006310
Abstract: Systems and techniques for node-density aware interest packet forwarding in a dynamic ad hoc information centric network (ICN) are described herein. For example, a next interest packet to forward may be obtained at a network node. A time period to hold the next interest packet before forwarding may be calculated based on node density in the network. The node may then broadcast the next interest packet upon expiration of a timer set to the time period and started when the next interest packet was obtained.

  • Publication number: 20210119901
Abstract: System and techniques for information centric network (ICN) protocol for federated learning are described herein. An interest packet may be received on a first interface to start a federated learning round. Here, the interest packet includes a participant criterion and a federated learning round expiration. An entry, that includes the federated learning round expiration, is created in a pending interest table (PIT) for the interest packet. The interest packet is forwarded, in accordance with a forwarding information base (FIB), to a set of interfaces before the federated learning round expiration. When a data packet from a node, that meeting the participant criterion, is received in response to the interest packet, the data packet is forwarded on the first interface in accordance with the PIT entry.

  • Publication number: 20210108929
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments for adjusting a vehicle stopping point. The vehicle stopping point is a point between a route of the vehicle and a second route. in some embodiments, an adjustment to the stopping point is determined based on ranking secondary routes that are adjusted based on the adjusted vehicle stopping point. Tanking of the secondary routes is based, in sonic embodiments, on a score of segment(s) included in the secondary routes. In some cases, the ranking of the segments considers safety information associated with each of the segments.

  • Patent number: 10863585
Abstract: Embodiments of an access point (AP), station (STA), and method of communication are generally described herein. The AP may perform channel sensing in a first channel of a first frequency band and a second channel of a second frequency band to obtain access for transmission of a physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) that comprises multiple subframes. The transmission of the PPDU may be configurable to use a multi-band layer-1 aggregation of the first and second channels. While the second channel is unavailable, the AP may transmit one or more subframes on the first channel without usage of the multi-band layer-1 aggregation. When it is determined that the second channel has become available, the AP may switch to synchronized transmission of the subframes on the first and second channels in accordance with the multi-band layer-1 aggregation.
