  • Publication number: 20260163992
Abstract: Methods and systems for background color suppression. The method includes receiving image data of an input image in a color space. The input image pertains to a document having a background color and the image data includes lightness values of pixels in the input image. Elevation angles are computed for the pixels in the input image and accumulated. A tile region is selected in the input image, where the tile region includes a portion in the input image. The tile region is processed to determine a first threshold value (FTV) and a second threshold value (STV). The elevation angles for pixels in the input image are compared with the FTV and the lightness values of pixels in the input image are compared with the STV. Based on the comparison, background color suppression is performed.

  • Publication number: 20260162454
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for detecting a security mark embedded in a colored media document. The method includes extracting a region of the document, wherein the region corresponds to a location of the document. Thereafter, color values associated with a color channel of the extracted region are analyzed. Based on the analysis, at least one foreground threshold value and at least one adjacent foreground threshold value are calculated. Here, the foreground threshold value and the adjacent foreground threshold value depend at least on a color of a media of the colored media document. Thereafter, the extracted region is processed using the at least one foreground threshold value to generate a foreground image. Further, the extracted portion is processed using the at least one adjacent foreground threshold value to generate an adjacent foreground image.

  • Publication number: 20260111604
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for securing confidential content of a document while printing, accessing, sharing and/or while reproducing the document. To this end, the method allows a user to select confidential content, generates a pre-defined code such as bar code corresponding to the confidential content, adds one or more symbols including bar code, logo in place of the confidential content and submits the document for printing. The document is printed such that the printed document includes non-confidential content, an IR security mark, bar code, and logo. Later at the time of accessing the secured printed document, the confidential content is retrieved and merged with the non-confidential content to output a complete document for further action such as view, print. The methods and systems disclose the implementation using an augmented reality application for securing the confidential content and/or for providing access to the confidential content.

  • Publication number: 20260104830
Abstract: The disclosure discloses methods and systems for securing confidential content of a document while printing and/or while reproducing the document. The method includes identifying confidential content in a document. Upon identification, the confidential content is encoded based on one or more encoding algorithms. Then, coordinate information about the confidential content is identified. The method generates a pre-defined code such as a QR code having authorized user information, prints the IR security mark and pre-defined code on the document. The printed document includes the confidential content in an encoded format, the IR security mark with the coordinate information of the confidential content and the pre-defined code including the authorized user information. At the time of reproducing, the method includes checking if a user who is requesting for reproducing the printed document is an authorized user. Based on the check, the user is allowed to reproduce the printed document.

  • Patent number: 11765300
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for identifying blank spaces in a document for embedding an Infrared (IR) mark in the document. The method includes receiving the document for printing from the user. A user interface is provided to the user that allows the user to select a pre-defined option. Upon selection of the pre-defined option, inputs from the user on the IR mark is received. Based on the inputs from the user, a specified portion of the document is extracted for processing. Then, blank spaces are checked in the extracted portion based on a size of the IR mark to be embedded in the document. Based on the check, the IR mark is embedded in the identified blank space. An output document is outputted/printed including the IR mark in the specified portion of the document. The IR mark is embedded such that there is no content loss.

  • Patent number: 10212299
Abstract: What is disclosed is a system and method for detecting a folded page in a digital image of a scanned document. In one embodiment, the present method involves receiving a digital image of a document which has been converted to a digitized form using a document scanning device. The digital image is segmented horizontally and vertically to obtain a plurality of image segments. An edge profile is generated for the horizontal and vertical segments. A determination is then made, based on a comparison of the profiles, whether a page fold exists in the digital image. If a page fold is determined to exist in the digital image, the user is notified and the digital image is not sent to a print engine. Otherwise, the digital image is printed.
