  • Publication number: 20180376448
Abstract: A system and method enhances Wi-Fi protocol by transmitting an Internet-of-Things (IoT) notification map designated for an IoT device. The IoT notification map having format of at least part of a beacon frame and be included in an IoT beacon frame that, when transmitted by at least one router, causes the IoT device to perform an operation indicated in the IoT notification map. The at least one router may be part of the router cluster designated for the IoT device. The router cluster may include a subset of a plurality of routers within a geographical area associated with a location of the IoT device.

  • Patent number: 9557404
Abstract: A mobile device is described for tracking an object and sensing an environment of the object. The mobile device includes a circuit board that is loaded with radio frequency (RF) transmitters and receivers for finding the device position and communicating data about the device, the ambient environment of the device, and/or the position of the device. Sensor on the device may measure data about the device and about the ambient environment of the device. Flexible antennas increases the effective volume for a plurality of antennas for increased range and/or reduced power. An adjustable impedance circuit provides for real-time tuning and impedance matching of the antennas.

  • Patent number: 8990032
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are disclosed that may be configured to respond to vibrations in a pavement induced by the travel of a vehicle on the pavement. The apparatus may include vibration sensor nodes embedded in the pavement and systems using the response of the sensor nodes to generate vehicle parameters, weight estimates, pavement deflection estimates and vehicle classifications. From these and other data, traffic ticket, tariff and insurance messages about the vehicle may be generated. Processors and processor-units are disclosed. Delivery mechanisms to configure the processor units and entities controlling and/or benefiting from the deliveries are disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20130314273
Abstract: The following are disclosed and claimed: A micro-radar adapted to generate an antenna output of less than or equal to 10 milli-Watt (mW) through an antenna to an object and receive a Radio Frequency (RF) reflection off of said object, and adapted to respond to a first Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) output and a second DAC output. A wireless sensor node and/or a processor for use in said wireless sensor node. A wireline sensor node and/or a processor for use in said wireline sensor node configured operate said micro-radar by control of said first and said second DAC output. A second apparatus configured to receive an improved sensor report from at least two of the wireless sensor nodes. A processor for use with the second apparatus. A third apparatus adapted to respond to vibrations in pavement. Several integrated circuits and systems. Installation devices, servers and/or computer readable memories.
