  • Publication number: 20140213956
Abstract: The invention provides an adhesive support article for supporting a body part of a user. A single-sided stretchable adhesive tape blank is precut into a sheet having a central anchoring portion and a plurality of outwardly extending fingers. The sheet is marked with visual indicators to guide the user of the support article for applying the central anchoring portion onto a first exterior surface of the body part and for stretching the fingers before adhering them at a predetermined distance away from the central anchoring portion. The adhesive support article can also be provided in a support system with at least one corresponding body landmark article, providing further guidance for applying the support article to the desired body part.

  • Publication number: 20130334084
Abstract: A contusion patch comprising a high stretch therapeutic tape with an adhesive backing is disclosed in this specification. The tape has an anchoring portion that adheres to a contusion and a plurality of fingers that extend from the anchoring portion. The tape is less than about 5 inches in length and about 2 inches in width when unstretched. A frangible release liner covers the adhesive backing of the tape prior to application. The release liner has a greater surface area than the tape, so that an exposed strip of the release liner extends around the tapes perimeter. The release liner is scored at junctions between the anchoring portion and the fingers to allow selective removal during staggered application of the tape.

  • Publication number: 20130170058
Abstract: A solar collector array is disclosed. The array has a plurality of thin walled dishes interconnected by unitary webbing. The dishes and the webbing are formed from a single metallic sheet. Each dish is pressed into a symmetric parabolic surface that concentrates incident light to a position in front of the dish.

  • Publication number: 20130152654
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for texturing the surface of a brake plate has three die plates and spring supports therebetween. A toothed tooling mounts to the top die plate above an anvil on the centre die plate both of which ride on posts held by the lower die plate. The toothed tooling comprises multiple blades each with multiple replaceable toothed inserts are held in a cartridge arrangement. The anvil receives brake plates from a separately supported plate feed mechanism with greatly reduced reciprocating mass. The complete die set can be set up on the bench and inserted ready to use in any style of press where the press ram contacts the upper die plate.

  • Publication number: 20130068574
Abstract: A shim for a disc brake pad is provided. The shim is formed of a generally planar metal sheet that has a plurality of curved or bent edge tabs extending out from its edges thereof to engage the brake pad. A centrally disposed raised area is provided on the shim. The raised area serves as a compartment for lubricant when the shim is retained on the brake pad. The raised area has at least one lubricant access port to allow lubricant to be introduced into the compartment without removing the shim from the brake pad. A disc brake pad assembly having the shim is also provided. A method of lubricating the assembly via the access port is also provided.
