  • Patent number: 6331597
Abstract: The invention includes a water-curable azidosilane grafted polymer selected from the group consisting of (i) homogeneous ethylene polymers which has a density less than or equal to about 0.900 g/cm3, and (ii) interpolymers of at least one ethylene or &agr;-olefin and at least one vinylidene aromatic compound. The water-curable silane-grafted polymer may comprise the reaction product of: at least one first polymer, the first polymer selected from the group consisting of an interpolymer, a substantially linear ethylene polymer, and a mixture thereof; the interpolymer comprising polymer units of at least one ethylene or &agr;-olefin and at least one vinylidene aromatic compound; and at least one monofunctional azidosilane. The invention further includes a process for producing a water-curable silane-grafted polymer.
