  • Patent number: 4166717
Abstract: The specification describes an improved process for dyeing cellulosic textiles with indigo which comprises reducing indigo dye to its soluble leuco form, incorporating an aldehyde addition product to the reduced indigo dye solution, immersing a cellulosic textile, and exposing the textile to air to oxidize the dye to its insoluble color. The specification describes also the reducing agent, the aldehyde addition product and the conditions required for optimum dyeing.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 3, 1978
Date of Patent: September 4, 1979
    Assignee: Royce Chemical Company
Inventors: Andrew Fono, Ray F. Patton
  • Patent number: 4132522
Abstract: The specification describes the control of dye migration in continuous dyeing processes for cellulosic textiles. In the process, an antimigrating agent is added to the pigment pad. The antimigrating agent comprises an aqueous solution of a non-ionic polymer and a salt.

  • Patent number: 4113427
Abstract: The specification describes an improved process for dyeing cellulosic textiles with vat and sulfur dyes using a reducing agent composition which has been stabilized against aerobic and anaerobic decomposition. This specification describes also the reducing agent composition which comprises sodium dithionite and a critical amount of sodium hydroxymethanesulfinate.
